Abstract:
In accordance with various embodiments of the disclosed subject matter, a method and an apparatus for checking and updating data on a client terminal are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: obtaining a presentation time interval between two adjacent presenting actions of target data on the client terminal, and obtaining an update time interval between two adjacent updating actions of the target data on a server; calculating a weighted mean value of the target data based on the presentation time interval and the update time interval, as well as a preset presentation weight and a preset update weight; and determining an update check period of the client terminal for periodically performing an update operation to the target data based on the weighted mean value.
Abstract:
In accordance with various embodiments of the disclosed subject matter, a webpage resource acquisition method, and an apparatus thereof are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: obtaining pre-read webpage resources from a web server through a communication network according to a pre-read algorithm; storing raw data of the pre-read webpage resources in a pre-read cache; and in response to receiving a loading instruction to load a target webpage resource, obtaining the raw data of one pre-read webpage resource that corresponds to the target webpage resource from the pre-read cache based on the loading instruction without going through the communication network.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, and mobile terminals for webpage processing in a night mode are provided. A method may comprise the browser injecting the CSS style of night mode and the corresponding JavaScript into the main file of said webpage via the interface of network request processing as provided by the terminal operating system when the browser is loading a webpage, and the browser parsing said main file, executing said JavaScript and applying said CSS style in a night mode to the webpage elements of said webpage for display. This can effect night mode and improve a user's browsing experience while maintaining the original webpage layout.
Abstract:
A method for file downloading is described. The method comprises: transmitting a first request to a server to start a downloading process of a file; receiving a first destination address and a first cookie for the downloading process, wherein the first destination address and the first cookie are associated with the file; storing the first destination address, the first cookie, a link address associated with the file, and a web address associated with the link address; detecting an interruption of the downloading process; and responsive to detection of an interruption of the downloading process, transmitting a second request to the server for a second destination address and a second cookie associated with the file based on the link address and web address. The method further comprises resuming the downloading process of the file using the second destination address and the second cookie.
Abstract:
A method for data synchronization performed by a server is described. The method comprises receiving, from a client terminal, a synchronization request and information about a synchronization anchor of the client terminal; determining, based on the synchronization anchor of the client terminal and a synchronization anchor of the server, difference data to be synchronized with the client terminal; determining whether a size of the difference data exceeds a threshold; and responsive to determining that a size of the difference data exceeds the threshold, transmitting the difference data to the client terminal in a plurality of difference data segments, wherein a size of each of the plurality of the difference data segments does not exceed the threshold, and wherein each of the plurality of the difference data segments is to be synchronized separately with the client terminal.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an image compression method, comprising: determining non-edge portions of an image to be compressed by performing an image edge detection on the image to be compressed; dividing each of non-edge portions into a plurality of connected domains of pixels according to color similarity of the pixels in the non-edge portion, wherein each of the connected domains of pixels is composed of a pixel selected during the division into the connected domains of pixels and the pixels similar in color to and continuously adjacent to the selected pixel; setting the color of each of the connected domains of pixels to be the color of the selected pixel; merging the colors of a plurality of divided connected domains of pixels according to similarity of the colors of the connected domains of pixels; and compressing the image to be compressed by using the merged colors. According to the method, the number of colors used for image compression can be determined according to the characteristics of the image, thus the file size of the compressed image can be effectively reduced with the display effect thereof kept substantially unchanged.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides a method and device a method for detecting and receiving an induction signal induced by a contact of a pointing object with the touch screen, identifying information corresponding to the induction signal in response to receipt of the induction signal, determining a control operation based on the information, and executing the control operation in response to the determination. The control operation comprises at least one of closing a present application interface and displaying a new application interface.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method, a browser client, and a server for reading web page information by speech. The browser client is installed with a text to speech (TTS) engine. The method includes: sending, by a browser client, a page access request to a server, where the page access request includes a page address and TTS identity information; receiving, by the browser client, response data returned by the server, where the response data includes a TTS standard version number determined by the server according to the TTS identity information, and TTS page data corresponding to the page address; and reading, by the browser client, the TTS page data by speech according to the TTS standard version number by using a TTS engine. In the present disclosure, page information is read by speech by using the TTS engine installed on the browser client. When it is inconvenient for a user to browse a page with eyes, and for users whose eyes have physical problems, the read page information can be listened by using a sense of hearing. Therefore, a convenient hearing-based manner is provided to users to browse a page.
Abstract:
The present application discloses an article quality scoring method and device, a client, a server, and a programmable device. The method includes: obtaining browsing behavior information of a user when the user browses a target article; obtaining a browsing behavior score of the user for the target article according to the browsing behavior information and a corresponding browsing behavior coefficient; and obtaining an article quality score of the target article according to obtained browsing behavior scores of multiple users for the target article.
Abstract:
A picture data transmission method and device are disclosed in the present invention. The picture data transmission method comprises: recoding a first picture to be transmitted, by a picture data sending terminal, to obtain a second picture, wherein the file size of the second picture is smaller than that of the first picture, and a quality difference between the second picture and the first picture is less than a pre-set threshold; and selecting one of the first picture and the second picture according to quality values of the first picture and the second picture and sending the selected picture to a picture data receiving terminal. According to the present invention, pictures can be recoded to obtain pictures with a small amount of data for data transmission, without affecting the picture quality, thereby saving network resources and reducing storage pressure.
