Abstract: An internet protocol (IP)-based ceiling or wall-mounted speaker with optional IP-based camera and/or alarm indicator is provided. The IP-based speaker has a detachable add-on device for accommodating different types of interchangeable camera configurations and other components such as flush mount camera, camera providing angled view, night vision-type camera for different services and configurations. Multiple IP-based speakers are connected to an IP device to exchange audio data via an Ethernet connection for cost effective, flexible and convenient installations. The IP-based speaker has a speaker cone for talkback features, and relay for remote relay control of doors or gates for security applications as well as public address applications.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides controllers for power distribution network circuit interrupting devices and provides electronic control circuits for inclusion in such controllers. The electronic control circuit has a boost circuit, a capacitor storage unit and a pulse width modulator control circuit. The boost circuit boosts an input voltage to a value to supply sufficient energy to a protective relay solenoid to energize the solenoid. The capacitor storage unit stores the boosted voltage from the boost circuit. The pulse width modulator control circuit is responsive to a control and enable circuit to selectively enable energy from the capacitor to energize the one or more protective relays in power distribution system circuit interrupting device.

Abstract: A helical pile including a heat exchanger is described. The pile is formed from a lead section and one or more extension sections. The interior of the lead and extension sections are hollow and form a heat exchanger cavity. At the lower end of the lead section is a helical blade. Rotation of the lead section causes the helical blade to screw into the ground, thus pulling the lead section downward. Extension sections are added to the lead section and the pile is rotated until it is installed to a desired depth. The pile includes an inflow tube extending a predetermined distance into the heat exchanger cavity and an outflow port connected with the heat exchanger cavity. In operation, a heat carrying fluid is pumped into the inflow tube from a heat source or sink, for example, a heat pump for a building heating and cooling system. The fluid exits the tube at a point near the bottom of the heat exchanger cavity. The fluid flows upward through the heat exchange cavity and exchanges heat with the surrounding soil. The fluid flows out through the outflow port and back to the heat source or sink.
