摘要： An orthopedic device in the form of a cervical collar having height and circumferential adjustment includes an anterior portion and a posterior portion. The anterior portion includes a main support piece having depending projections configured to engage a height adjustment mechanism. 摘要： A spacer element for use in an orthopedic or prosthetic device includes an apertured fabric layer having first and second fabric layers. A discrete and continuous web-like frictional layer is laminated onto the first fabric layer and has greater frictional properties than the fabric layer. The frictional layer has a plurality of apertures arranged in a pattern in direct correspondence to a pattern of the first surface layer apertures. A compressible material layer has opposed first and second surfaces, wherein the first surface is secured to the second surface layer. The compressible material layer has a first compression molded region with reduced thickness and increased density relative to a second region of the compressible material having a predetermined thickness.

摘要： A knee brace has proximal and distal frame elements with outwardly facing surfaces, and first and second hinges connecting to the frame elements. The brace includes a first strap having a first end directly attached to the first side of the proximal frame element and a second end attached to the first side of the distal frame element so as to spiral from the first side of the proximal frame element to the first side of the distal frame element about posterior and anterior sides of the knee brace. The brace also includes a second strap having a first end directly attached to the second side of the proximal frame element and a second end attached to the second side of the distal frame element so as to spiral from the second side of the distal frame element to the second side of the proximal frame element about the posterior and anterior sides of the knee brace. The first and second straps intersect within a clearance defined between the first and second hinges.

摘要： A leg support adapted to be secured to a leg includes an elongate strut having first and second segments, and a flexible middle segment located therebetween. The strut is arranged for securing to a posterior side of a leg and is centrally located along a medial-lateral plane of a leg. A resilient element is removably secured to a first surface of the strut, and extends across the middle strut segment. The middle strut segment and the resilient device are arranged to correspond to a knee of a leg and bend therewith such that the resilient device urges the strut into a generally upright configuration.

The knee brace having a frame, and at least one cross strap that is connected to the frame and extends across over at least a portion of the first and second brace sides. The brace also includes a tightening mechanism that is connected to the frame and is configured to incrementally tension the at least one cross strap at predefined settings and to release tension on the at least one cross strap. A first end of the at least one cross strap engages the tightening mechanism. A dosage meter is connected to the frame, and includes an indication feature representing tension settings of the at least one cross strap.

摘要： An orthopedic device includes a rigid frame assembly having rigid frame supports connected by joints. The device also includes a strap which extends between sides of the frame assembly. An orthopedic component in the form of a resilient subshell is connected to and extending flexibly outwardly from the frame assembly. The subshell has a main body and a perimeter edge portion secured along the periphery of the main body wherein the perimeter edge portion is formed from a material having less hardness than a material used to form the main body. The strap is connected to at least one end portion of the subshell.
