摘要: Noninvasive natural healing in daily life or regenerative cell treatment can be promoted. A knee joint model is constructed by three-dimensionally analyzing measurement data obtained by measuring an outline shape and internal space shape of a knee joint part of a subject; a transition state towards an orthotic direction for a symptom improvement of the knee joint part is simulated continuously or stepwisely with reference to the knee joint model; and an exoskeleton mold capable of continuously or stepwisely finely adjusting the knee joint part towards the orthotic direction is designed based on the transition state.

摘要: A thigh immobilizer is configured for use with a robotic knee testing apparatus to evaluate a knee joint. The thigh immobilizer has a first clamping element configured to engage a lateral portion of the thigh and a second clamping element spaced apart from the first clamping element. The second clamping element is configured to engage a medial portion of the thigh. The first clamping element and the second clamping element are each configured to move and lock independent of one another. The thigh immobilizer clamps and holds a thigh between the first and second clamping elements when the first clamping element and second clamping element are locked during manipulation of the lower leg.

摘要: A passive artificial knee comprises first and second links rotatably coupled at a knee joint, a passive compressive force generator rotatably coupled to the second link, and a release mechanism coupled to the first link. When a relative angle of the first and second links is less than a toggle angle, the release mechanism locks in a first operational mode, and the force generator compresses, resisting the flexing of the second link relative to the first link. When the relative angle is larger than the toggle angle, the force generator decompresses and encourages the flexion of said second link relative to said first link. When the force generator is substantially extended and said compressive force is substantially small, the release mechanism moves into a second operational mode, wherein the force generator neither resists nor encourages the extension and flexion of said second link from said first link.

摘要: An attachment system for an orthopedic brace incorporates at least one cinching system assembly having a knob rotatable in a first direction and a second direction. At least one cinching plate is engaged by the knob for rotation in the first direction in a first orientation and transitions to a second orientation upon rotation in the second direction. A ratchet wheel is engaged by the cinching plate in the first orientation for rotation in the first direction. At least one ratchet arm engages the ratchet wheel for ratcheting operation and is engaged by the cinching plate in the second orientation for disengagement from the ratchet arm. A shaft is rotated in response to rotation of the ratchet wheel and a strap is extendible from and retractable on the shaft upon rotation of the shaft.

摘要: A joint for a rehabilitation device and a rehabilitation device are disclosed. The joint is defined for operation between an end of a first member and an end of a second member. The joint enables the second member to pivot at the joint with respect to the first member. The joint includes a positioning mechanism for defining a set position from which the second member pivots. The joint also includes a restriction mechanism for restricting the degree of pivoting of the second member, from the set position. The joint further includes a biasing mechanism for biasing the second member such that it returns to the set position when an opposing force applied to the second member is less than the bias of the biasing mechanism. When the joint is in the set position, the biasing mechanism is configured such that no bias is applied to the second member.
