Abstract:
Stereoscopic images are projected on a display device from an image source according to adaptive parameters which are adjusted according to the current positions of the projector, the screen and a user wearing a 3D viewing device. By detecting the distance between the projector and the screen and the distance between the 3D viewing device and the screen during a 3D presentation, the adaptive parameters may automatically be adjusted in order to provide the best and most comfortable 3D viewing environment. Or, the recommended values of the adaptive parameters which result in the best and most comfortable 3D viewing environment may be provided to the user for manual adjustment.

After receiving an electronic program guide, generate three-dimensional parameters corresponding to a three-dimensional TV program listed on the electronic program guide according to the classification of the three-dimensional TV program, then display the three-dimensional TV program on a three-dimensional TV set according to the three-dimensional parameters.
Abstract:
A method for receiving a station signal is provided. First, a radio frequency signal is received and converted to a first IF signal. Next, the first IF signal is demodulated to a baseband signal and a demodulation signal is obtained, the demodulation signal being a result of differentiating a phase of the baseband signal. Then a determination as to whether a DC level of the demodulation signal has an S-curve characteristic at a specific frequency is made according to the demodulation signal. If so, the specific frequency is determined as a first station frequency, a first station signal is obtained from the radio frequency signal according to the first station frequency.
Abstract:
A display control device to control settings of a display is provided. The display control device comprises a photo sensor, a determining module and a controller. The photo sensor detects a user hand at different timings to generate a plurality of images. The determining module analyzes the images to generate a series of gesture signals for the user hand. The controller generates a control signal to display an on-screen display menu once activated, and to select options within the on-screen display menu and control the setting of the selected option based on the gesture signals such that the display can be adjusted accordingly.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus comprising a register bank, a shadow register and an arithmetic operation unit is provided. The register bank comprises a number of registers for respectively storing a number of operands, respectively, wherein the registers are n-bit registers, and n is a nature number. The shadow register is for storing first backup operand for making a backup of a first operand, which is stored in a first register among the registers in response to first control signal. The arithmetic operation unit is for performing at least an arithmetic operation on the operands to obtain an operational data, and storing the operational data in the first register in response to an arithmetic operation command.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a pointing device for scrolling a screen image. The pointing device comprises a chassis, a housing having an opening on its top mounted on the chassis, a vertical sensor installed on the chassis below the opening, a plurality of horizontal sensors installed on the chassis beside the vertical sensor, and a control stick vertically installed inside the opening of the housing comprising a top end and a bottom end. The bottom end of the control stick is in contact with the vertical sensor whereas the top end of the control stick protrudes from the opening of the housing and can be horizontally moved within a predetermined angle with respect to the bottom end of the control stick serving as its center. The pointing device further comprises a plate horizontally installed at the bottom end of the control stick with its bottom side positioned above the horizontal sensors. Horizontal movement of the top end of the control stick will cause corresponding movement of the plate which then causes the bottom surface of the plate to trigger at least one horizontal sensor. The pointing device also comprises a control device electrically connected to the vertical and horizontal sensors for detecting vertical movements of the control stick using the vertical sensor and generating correspondent vertical signals, and detecting horizontal movements of the control stick using the horizontal sensors and generating correspondent horizontal signals.
