Abstract: A target of unitary construction comprises a self-supporting sign having a middle portion that has a first side, a second side, an upper side, and a lower side. A first foldable flap extends from the first side and is configured to be folded along the first side in a use configuration. A second foldable flap extends from the second side and is configured to be folded along the second side in the use configuration. A front foldable portion of the sign extends from the lower side and is configured to be folded along the lower side in the use configuration. The front foldable portion is configured to be secured to a surface when the self-supporting sign is being used as a target. In the use configuration, each of the first foldable flap directly and the second foldable flap directly touch only the middle portion and the surface.

Abstract: A die cut printed blank (10) providing a bisectional, continuous printed surface (24) defined by non-magnetic and magnetic sheets (12,14) joined with an adhesion seam (36) is disclosed. The blank (10) broadly includes a printable sheet (12), a magnetic sheet (14) coupled to the printable sheet (12), a coating carrier (16) applied to the magnetic sheet (14), and a plurality of die cuts (18) in the magnetic sheet (14). The coating carrier (16) is a thin solid liner having a relatively low coefficient of friction that is formed by applying a curable liquid to the rear face (34b) of the magnetic layer (34) and then UV curing the liquid to form the solid liner (16). The coating carrier (16) retains the magnetic sheet (14) together after the sheet (14) has been die cut and enables the sheet (14) to be easily and quickly removed from a stack of other similar magnetic sheets without inhibiting the desired magnetic properties of the finished printed blank (10).

Abstract: A duplex label. The duplex label has a first face ply having a printable upper side and a lower side, and a second face ply having an upper side and a printable lower side. A layer of patterned adhesive is situated underneath the lower side of the first face ply. A displaceable liner coating comprising an enabler, a facilitator, and a stabilizer is formulated, and the layer of patterned adhesive is covered with the displaceable liner coating. The displaceable liner coating is activated by bringing the displaceable liner coating in contact with a fluid. The second face ply is secured to the first face ply using the activated displaceable liner coating such that the printable upper side faces away from the printable lower side. Abstract: A combination wristband and label form. The form includes a polyester section having a single-ply wristband defined by die cuts therein. The wristband includes a foldable portion having a first panel and a second panel. An outer surface of one of the first panel and the second panel is coated with a coating configured for receiving printed indicia. An outer surface of at least the other of the first panel and the second panel has adhesive to allow for the first panel to be adhesively secured to the second panel after the coating has received the printed indicia. The void exposes the coating on the outer surface of one of the first panel and the second panel to allow the printed indicia to be printed on the coating through the void. Upon folding the foldable portion, the printed indicia is sandwiched between the first panel and the second panel.

Abstract: A method for making a dual temperature label having a face stock and a liner comprises using a first adhesive pattern applicator to apply a first adhesive to the line. The method includes transferring the first adhesive from the liner to the face stock via a first chill roller. A second adhesive pattern applicator is used to apply a second adhesive to the liner after the first adhesive has been transferred therefrom to the face stock. The face stock is brought in registry with the liner via a second chill roller to make the dual temperature label such that each of the first adhesive and the second adhesive is sandwiched between the face stock and the liner. The first adhesive is a hot temperature adhesive and the second adhesive is a cold temperature adhesive, or vice versa.
