摘要: A scope mount apparatus for attaching an optical scope to a firearm is provided. The scope mount apparatus includes at least one base with at least one fastening element for attaching the base to the firearm. The scope mount apparatus also includes two scope rings operatively connected to the at least one base. An integral sighting system is mounted with respect to the base. The scope mount apparatus is configured such that an unobstructed line of sight extends between the scope rings and the base. The unobstructed line of sight contacts or intersects the sighting system so that a user of the firearm has the option of using either a scope in the scope rings or the integrated sighting system to aim at a target.

The first rear posts extend to a first height above the rear base, and the second rear posts extend to a second height above the rear base. The second height is greater than the first height.

摘要: The system includes various components to track and graphically display data related to a user, a weapon, munitions for the weapon, other munitions and equipment used by the user, and similar information about other users. The system can include a display device that can be attached to the weapon. A user can look through the display device while looking down the line-of-sight of the weapon to obtain the data on a heads-up-display. The information displayed can include the point-of-impact of a projectile to be fired from the weapon, the number of unused rounds in the user's inventory, whether a magazine is inserted into the weapon, a map of the field of view, identification of friendlies and hostiles, a distance to a target, a count of other assets (e.g., munitions and other equipment) in the user's inventory, and other information about other users.

摘要: A user identification assembly for a firearm includes a sight configured for use on said firearm. The sight being positioned on said firearm to provide a point of aim to a user. A light source is disposed on the sight and projects toward the user in a direction opposite the point of aim. An image sensor is disposed on the sight and is configured to capture image data of an object. The image sensor is configured to identify the user of said firearm. A controller is in communication with the image sensor and is configured to allow operation of said firearm based on the captured image data.

摘要: A weapon sighting device facilitates aiming a weapon without obscuring a visual line to the desired target point. The device includes a front mount coupled to a forward end of a weapon. A front sight is coupled to the front mount having a pair of outer flanges extending upwardly from the front mount. The outer flanges are spaced apart to permit direct visual sighting of a target point between the outer flanges of the front sight. A rear sight is coupled to a rear mount on the rearward end of the weapon. A pair of peripheral flanges extending upwardly from the rear mount are spaced apart wherein the outer flanges are visible between the peripheral flanges when in an aimed position.

摘要: A shooting sports sight apparatus to inhibit unwanted stray light of an observable scene. An example apparatus comprises a sight housing having a first end, a second end, an outer surface, and an inner surface. At least one concentric ring is positioned between the first end and the second end. At least one annular groove is defined between the first end of the sight housing and the concentric ring. The concentric ring provides a surface for stray light photons entering the first end of the sight housing to bounce in directions generally away from the line of sight into the annular groove, thereby inhibiting the stray light photons from entering field of regard (FOR) photons reaching the aft end of the sight housing which make up the observable scene where the second end has means for changing the baffle aperture diameter forming the final light baffle of the baffle assembly.

摘要: A combined reflex and laser sighting device with co-aligned iron sights is provided. In one aspect, the laser elements are co-aligned with each other, the reflex sight is co-aligned with the laser elements, and the iron sights are then co-aligned with the reflex sight and lasers, such that both the reflex sight, laser sight, and iron sights can all be calibrated or boresighted to a weapon together in a single operation. In another aspect, one or more laser elements are mounted to a laser bench and aligned with a reflex sight and iron sights attached to the laser bench. In yet another aspect, a plurality of laser elements are provided on the laser bench and are co-aligned with each other, the reflex sight, and the iron sights. In yet another aspect, an elevation adjustment apparatus for a laser sight includes selectable primary and secondary adjustment assemblies.

The sight member can be mounted on a vertically moveable member that has a fixing member that sets the vertical position of the sight member. The vertically moveable member may, without limitation, be a pivoting member. The sight mechanism includes magnets that bias the vertical member against the fixing member so that the magnets maintain the sight at the vertical position defined by the fixing member.

摘要: An aiming apparatus and associated methods for aiming a device such as a firearm are disclosed herein. In various aspects, the aiming apparatus may include a front sight configured as a post and a rear sight configured to include a notch. An image portion is formed on the front sight and a complementary image portion formed on the rear sight such that the image portion and the complementary image portion present a unitary image to a viewer of the front sight through the notch when the front sight is aligned with the rear sight, in various aspects.
