摘要: A fin control assembly includes a housing, an arm configured to couple to a fin and to steer the fin relative to the housing, and a locking member disposed within the housing. The locking member is configured to (i) lock the arm in a substantially fixed state to inhibit movement of the arm relative to the housing when the locking member is in an engaged position, and (ii) unlock the arm from the substantially fixed state to allow the arm to steer the fin relative to the housing when the locking member moves from the engaged position to a disengaged position. The locking member has a cylindrical body portion and a cylindrical end portion, which is eccentric with the cylindrical body portion, to enable the locking member to lock the arm in the substantially fixed state while the arm holds the fin in a neutral location.

摘要: A method and system for verifying the integrity of normal sinus rhythm (NSR) templates and updating the NSR template after selected time intervals. At selected time intervals after establishing a NSR template, cardiac complexes are sensed and values for one or more cardiac parameters are measured. The values of the cardiac parameters are compared to predetermined value ranges for NSR cardiac complexes. When the values of the cardiac parameters fall within the predetermined value ranges, values for the differences between the values of the cardiac parameters for the cardiac complexes and the values for the cardiac parameters of the NSR cardiac complexes are calculated. When the values of the differences are greater than one or more threshold values, the NSR template is updated as a function of the sensed cardiac complexes.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and a method for discriminating supraventricular tachyarrhythmias from ventricular arrhythmias during a tachycardia episode. First cardiac signals and second cardiac signals are sampled for cardiac complexes. A first feature on the first cardiac signal and a second feature on the second cardiac signal are utilized to determine an average time difference for a plurality of normal sinus rhythm complexes. A time difference between the first feature and the second feature is then determined for each cardiac complex of a tachycardiac rhythm. The cardiac complex is characterized as a ventricular tachycardia complex if the time difference exceeds the average time difference by a predetermined amount. Otherwise, it is classified as VT if its morphology after alignment is different from that during normal sinus rhythm.

摘要: A system and method for treating atrial fibrillation using atrial pacing pulses to convert an atrial fibrillation to non-fibrillation atrial arrhythmia prior to delivering a low energy cardioversion/defibrillation shock. The system and method treats atrial fibrillations by first applying a plurality of pacing pulses to the atria which converts the atrial fibrillation to non-fibrillation atrial arrhythmia. Ventricular intervals are concurrently sensed and analyzed while the plurality of electrical pacing pulses are being applied. Upon detecting a period of stable ventricular intervals, the system then proceeds to deliver a low-energy cardioverting/defibrillating pulse of electrical energy across the atria of the heart.

摘要: A system and method classify cardiac complexes based on cardiac information derived from two or more cardiac signals. Two or more cardiac signals containing cardiac complexes are monitored. A cardiac complex in the two or more cardiac signals is isolated in an analysis window. The morphology of the cardiac complex in each of the two or more cardiac signals is then compared to the morphology of a template cardiac complex representing a predetermined cardiac condition. Based on this comparison, the cardiac complex is classified as either belonging or not belonging to the predetermined cardiac condition.

摘要: A method and system for ventricular defibrillation by coordinating the delivery of defibrillation shocks with sensed ventricular fibrillation complexes in a way which improves the probability of success of the defibrillation shock. Ventricular electrical activity is monitored in two ventricular locations during ventricular fibrillation to detect coarse ventricular fibrillation complexes and contractions of the ventricular cardiac tissue. The defibrillation shock is delivered in coordination with the occurrence of coarse ventricular fibrillation complexes and the contractions of ventricular cardiac tissue, and specifically to occur on the up-slope portion thereof, for optimal probability of success.
