摘要: Self-correlation enhancements and implementations are described. In particular, certain examples demonstrate the use of a peak selector to identify peaks of a self-correlation function which serve as candidate cardiac rates for an implantable medical device. The approach may enable an alternative calculation of cardiac rate in an implantable medical device as a stand-alone rate detector or as a double-check of other rate calculations.

摘要: Methods and systems in which a first medical device provides patient status details to a second medical device. Patient status details may include one or more of patient posture and/or patient activity level, or other indications of patient status. The second medical device, in response to information about patient status and changes in patient status, uses a sensing configuration management function to respond to and accommodate the change in patient status. In an example, a first medical device monitors patient posture and communicates information related to patient posture to a second medical device, which then tailors sensing configurations to the patient posture.

摘要: A system to generate a representation of a rhythm disorder includes a plurality of sensors disposed at multiple locations spatially in relation to the heart, wherein cardiac information signals are sensed. A processor receives and analyzes the activation onsets of the cardiac information signals to determine an arrangement of activation onsets. A representation that indicates the clinical source of the rhythm disorder is generated based on the arrangement of the activation onsets.

摘要: A method of monitoring a health status of a patient using a monitoring system comprising a pair of finger ring electrocardiogram (ECG) monitors. The monitoring system also includes at least one electronic component comprising a system on a chip (SoC) that features a data store and a processor. Biopotential signals from the left-hand finger of the patient (a first reading) and biopotential signals from the right-hand finger of the patient (a second reading) are received by the conductors of the respective ECG monitors, and correlated by detecting and removing signal latency between the first reading and the second reading. Analysis instructions executed by at least one of the respective processors of the ECG monitors identify a physiological condition of the patient from the correlated reading.

摘要: A system and method for determining and controlling a cardiac condition of a subject are provided. In some aspects, the method includes acquiring ECG signals using one or more electrodes configured to sense a cardiac activity of a subject, and analyzing the ECG signals to delineate cardiac waveforms on a beat-to-beat basis. The method also includes identifying, in the delineated cardiac waveforms, characteristic points associated with different phases of cardiac activity, and for each delineated cardiac waveform, computing an ischemic index using the ECG signals corresponding to a ventricular depolarization period and a ventricular repolarization period, wherein the ventricular depolarization period and the ventricular repolarization period are defined by the identified characteristic points. The method further includes determining a cardiac condition of the subject using each computed ischemic index.

摘要: An implantable medical device system includes an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) for detecting and treating ventricular tachycardia (VT). The ICD includes a sensing module for sensing a cardiac signal from available cardiac signal sensing vectors. A control module generates morphology templates of the cardiac signals for multiple patient postures for each of the available sensing vectors and determines a set of posture-independent template features. An unknown cardiac rhythm is classified in response to comparing features of a cardiac signal received during the unknown rhythm to the set of posture-independent features.
