Abstract: A multi-function device (MFD) is disclosed. For example, the MFD includes a communication interface to establish a communication path with a remote server, a user interface to receive a request to create an electronic file based on a scan of a document, a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a plurality of instructions. The instructions when executed by the processor cause the processor to scan the document to create the electronic file of the document, generate an encryption code associated with the electronic file of the document that is scanned, and transmit the electronic file to the remote server.

Abstract: A printing system and method of inspecting drop ejection in a printing system is disclosed. The method includes capturing an image of each of a plurality of drops of a print material after ejection from an ejector of a printing system, creating a temporally averaged image from each image of the plurality of drops of print material, and classifying one of the plurality of drops of print material based on the temporally averaged image that was created. The use of a pretrained convolutional neural network for classifying one of the plurality of drops and comparing the temporally averaged image to another temporally averaged image to classify one of the plurality of drops may be employed. The printing system also includes a camera with a high-speed shutter where the shutter is synchronized to an ejector pulse, and a video analytic framework coupled to the ejector and the camera configured to generate a jetting result for each of the one or more drops of liquid print material.

Abstract: A multispectral watermark and method for generating the multispectral watermark. A color pattern can be provided, which appears a single color/pattern under a first lighting condition. A watermark can be created based on the color pattern and under a second lighting condition comprising ultraviolet light, while the watermark is viewable with an infrared camera in an infrared spectrum. The watermark can be configured as a multispectral watermark with a metameric pair of inks with one ink of the metameric pair of inks using more CMYK toners that reflect in the infrared spectrum as compared to the other ink among the metameric pair of inks while simultaneously allowing more of the ultraviolet light or less of the ultraviolet light to reach a fluorescing media upon which the multispectral watermark is rendered.

Implementations of the structured organic film (SOF) include where all of the plurality of linkers are bonded to the plurality of segments. A concentration of ionic capping segments in the SOF is from about 0.1 to about 5.0 molar equivalents of ionic capping segments as compared to a concentration of nonionic segments in the SOF. An ion-exchange membrane may include the structured organic film (SOF).

Implementations of the structured organic film (SOF) include where a concentration of ionic capping segments in the SOF is from about 0.1 to about 5.0 molar equivalents of ionic capping segments as compared to a concentration of nonionic segments in the SOF. A thickness of the SOF is from about 100 nm to about 500 μm. At least one of the plurality of ionic capping segments may include n-hydroxyethyl-1,2,4,5-tetramethylimidazolium (NETMImBr). At least one of the plurality of ionic capping segments may include n-hydroxypropyl-1,2,4,5-tetramethylimidazolium (NPTMImBr). An ion-exchange membrane may include the structured organic film (SOF).

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating a secure copy of content associated with a non-fungible token (NFT) are disclosed. The system will receive a print request to print digital content that is associated with an NFT, access a blockchain to identify a current owner of the NFT, and generate a print job that with instructions to print the NFT content. If and only if the current owner of the NFT is the requesting entity, the system will print a unique authentication code with the digital content. The system will cause a print engine to print the digital content on a substrate or as a 3D object. In some embodiments, the system may be included in a print device that includes the print engine. Other aspects include a system that verifies whether a printed copy of content is an authorized copy, using the unique authentication code and the NFT described above.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for managing different versions of a document in a document management system. The method includes receiving a request at the document management system from a user to access a document, wherein the document management system stores multiple versions of the document along with respective location information. Further, the method includes checking whether a location option is enabled at the document management system. Furthermore, based on the check, a version of the document matching the location of the user from where the user is accessing it, is presented to the user, via a user interface, for further action. The methods and systems further allow the user to upload one or more documents versions, where the document versions are stored along with location information for easy access, later retrieval and/or use.

Abstract: A method of inkjet printer operation produces a sneeze pattern having a uniform sneeze pattern portion and a tapered area portion within the uniform sneeze pattern to operate inkjets in the printer to eject ink drops within an image area of media sheets passing through the printer to maintain the operational status of the inkjets. A dynamic threshold is applied to a portion of an uniform sneeze pattern to produce the tapered area within the uniform sneeze pattern. The dynamic threshold is changed as a function of distance between a pixel in the portion of the uniform sneeze pattern and the closest edge of an image area of the media sheet on which the tapered area of the sneeze pattern is to be printed. A second threshold can also be changed to alter a volume of ink associated with a pixel in the tapered area within the uniform sneeze pattern.
