Abstract:
An application tip for dispensing a dental material has a tubular dispensing end made of a plastic material. The dispensing end being formed of a circumferential wall having a thickness T1 and which forms a dispensing opening of a diameter Di1 and having a diameter-to-thickness-ratio Di1:T1 at the opening which is 13 or greater. The wall thickness increases in a direction away from the opening. The application tip preferably facilitates appropriately depositing the dental material.
Abstract:
A container for storing and dispensing a liquid has a generally cup-shaped receptacle formed by a circumferential side wall and a front wall. A piston is slidably accommodated within the receptacle. The receptacle and the piston in combination form a chamber in which the liquid is received. The piston forms a sealing structure bearing on an inner surface of the side wall. The inner surface of the side wall has an arithmetic average surface roughness of between 0.05 μm and 4.5 μm R?a.#191 The container allows for air to penetrate in the chamber while it provides for the liquid to be captured therein.
Abstract:
A dispenser comprising a body with an outlet, and a closure for the outlet. The closure and the body are pivotally movable relative to each other between an open position in which the outlet is open and a closed position in which the closure closes the outlet. The closure and the body are adapted for locking engagement with each another in the closed position. The closure has a locking member for locking and unlocking the closure and the body in the closed position. A force applied on the locking member for unlocking urges the closure toward the open position. The dispenser preferably facilitates the application of a material to be dispensed to a desired location.
Abstract:
A device for mixing and dispensing at least two flowable components comprises a housing front face with an outlet for the components and a piston having a piston front face. The piston is arranged such that the piston front face and the housing front face are facing each other. The piston front face and the housing front face are adapted to form a channel for the components between each other. The device is adapted to reduce the channel upon urging the piston front face and the housing front face against each other and thereby to displace the components to flow toward the outlet. The device facilitates mixing and dispensing a multi-component dental material.
Abstract:
A syringe for dispensing a medicament comprises a cartridge, a plug and an activator member. The syringe comprises a main chamber containing a first liquid and an auxiliary chamber containing a second liquid. To activate the syringe and merging the first and second liquid to form the medicament the auxiliary chamber and the main chamber are connectable for fluid communication with each other. A movement of the activator member and/or the plug causes the second liquid to be transferred from the auxiliary chamber into the main chamber. The syringe helps facilitating the preparation of a medicament that has to be mixed from different liquids shortly prior to use.
Abstract:
A plunger assembly for a cartridge for dispensing dental material. The plunger assembly has a receptacle, an activator, and a passageway extending through the receptacle along a longitudinal axis. The passageway forms a chamber for storing at least a component of the dental material and has an outlet for the chamber. The activator has a piston for extruding the component from the chamber and a plug for the outlet. The activator is movable to unplug the outlet and to subsequently extrude the component in a single stroke. The plunger assembly helps for reliably emptying the chamber and helps facilitating dispensation of dental materials.
Abstract:
Provided is a capsule for storing and dispensing dental material. The capsule comprises a cartridge for the dental material, and a nozzle. The nozzle being pivotable with respect to the cartridge between a first position in which the capsule is closed for storage and a second position in which the capsule is opened for dispensing the dental material. One of the nozzle and the cartridge comprises a bearing member and the other one of the nozzle and the cartridge comprises a bearing shell, wherein the bearing member and bearing shell form a pivot. Upon pivoting the nozzle from the first to the second position, the seal between the bearing member and the bearing shell is improved.

Abstract:
Provided is a cartridge assembly comprising a cartridge for containing a dental substance. The cartridge comprises a dispensing opening for the dental substance. Further the cartridge assembly comprises a piston having a receptacle for establishing a screw connection with a spindle for moving the piston for dispensing the dental substance. This assembly helps minimize costs in the manufacturing and use of dental cartridges and/or dental dispensing devices.
