Abstract: Embodiments are directed to wearable electronic devices including a band having a flexible layer and a routing layer coupled to the flexible layer. The routing layer including one or more electrical traces. A first enclosure is coupled to the band at a first opening and includes a first upper enclosure segment coupled to a first side of the band and a first lower enclosure segment coupled to a second side of the band. A processing unit is enclosed within the first enclosure and electrically coupled to the routing layer. A second enclosure is coupled to the band at a second opening and includes a second upper enclosure segment coupled to the first side of the band and a second lower enclosure segment coupled to the second side of the band. A battery is enclosed within the second enclosure and electrically coupled to the processing unit via the routing layer.

Abstract: A wearable electronic device may include a housing defining a band slot and a protrusion further defining a camera cavity. A digital camera assembly may be positioned in the camera cavity defined by the protrusion and/or housing. Walls of the protrusion may at least partially define the band slot and the protrusion may further at least partially extend over the band slot. The digital camera assembly may be used to capture light used to generate images and/or videos and may be communicatively coupled to a battery and other electronic components positioned within an internal cavity of the wearable electronic device. A band configured to couple with the band slot to secure the wearable electronic device around a body part of a user may be provided and may be removeable with respect to the band slot.

The first transparent region allows a transmitter to emit light out of the housing of the electronic device and the second transparent region allows a receiver to receive light through the housing. Abstract: An electronic device disclosed herein is adapted to determine a location of touch input when liquid is present. The electronic device may include a force detection assembly having force detection units. When a touch input is applied to the display layer, the force detection units generates a differential capacitance that is used to determine a location of the touch input. The electronic device may further include a confidence interval algorithm that uses the location and builds a confidence interval around the location. The electronic device may include a touch input components that can determine whether the liquid is present. The confidence interval algorithm determines whether the liquid is present within the confidence interval and provides an updated location of the touch input. The electronic device further includes a machine learning algorithm designed predict a software application the user intends to select using the touch input.
