Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a plurality of mobile devices implementing an application, and identifying a group of mobile devices from among the plurality of mobile devices according to a first movement pattern of the group of mobile devices. Further aspects can include identifying a first mobile edge compute (MEC) node at a first location according to a proximity threshold that does not include a MEC agent for the application, and identifying a second MEC node at a second location that includes the MEC agent for the application according to the proximity threshold. Additional aspects can include determining a first network relative performance (NRP) metric associated with a first communications between the group of mobile devices and the second MEC node. The first communications are associated with the application. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: In one example, a method and apparatus for optimizing a software defined network configuration are disclosed. In one example, the method determines a first network relative performance parameter for a current configuration of a network, based on respective weighting profiles associated with services for which the network carries data. The method then determines a second network relative performance parameter for a proposed configuration of the network, based on the respective weighting profiles associated with the services for which the network carries data. The proposed configuration is implemented in the network when the second network relative performance parameter is greater than the first network relative performance parameter.

Abstract: Measurement procedures are provided for a communication device. For instance, a system that comprises determining a probability value, wherein the probability value indicates a likelihood of a communication device, connected to a first network node device, connecting to a second network node device with attempts below a first threshold. The system can also comprise determining a scanning period interval value based on the probability value, used by the communication device, to adjust a scanning procedure usable for establishment of a connection with the second network node device, and requesting the communication device to utilize the scanning period interval value during the establishment of the connection with the second network node device.

Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to facilitating the allocation, scheduling, and management of network slice resources. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can include receiving proposed contract data representative of a proposed contract for access by an application of a user equipment device to resources of a network slice usable for the access by the application. The operations can further include, based on the proposed contract data, storing governing contract data representative of a governing contract in a storage device, with the governing contract being selected to control the access by the application to the resources of the network slice. The operations can further include scheduling use of the resources of the network slice by the application based on the governing contract data.

Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, determine a first impairment associated with a first user of a first end user device, receive user input captured at a second end user device during a communication session between the first and second end user devices, store instructions for executing a group of adjustment techniques for modifying the user input where the group of adjustment techniques includes amplifying selective frequencies and translating the user input into sign language images, select an adjustment technique from among the group of adjustment techniques, adjust the user input according to the adjustment technique to generate adjusted user input, and provide the adjusted user input to the first end user device during the communication session. Other embodiments are disclosed.
