    摘要: The present invention provides an advantageous transmitter apparatus and associated method, for generating a Single-Carrier Discrete Cosine Transform (SC-DCT) OFDM signal for transmission. These transmit-side innovations include circuit configuration and signal processing methods for mapping Ku “input subcarriers” to N “output subcarriers,” where the “output subcarriers” are some or all of the subcarriers defined for the SC-DCT OFDM signal. In one or more embodiments, Ku is less than N, and the mapping is based on advantageous DCT/IDCT precoding. The present invention additionally or alternatively includes advantageous frequency-selective mapping, and further provides a corresponding receiver apparatus and associated method, for receiving and de-mapping the SC-DCT OFDM signals contemplated herein.

    摘要: A base station initializes pseudo-random sequence generators on which wireless devices base generation of uplink reference signals. The base station determines a first sequence from a first subset of possible initialization sequences for a sequence generator of a first device, and determines a second sequence from a second subset of possible initialization sequences for a sequence generator of a second device. The range of this second subset spans at least the range of the first subset. The base station further encodes the first sequence as a first set of two or more parameters, and encodes the second sequence as a second set of one or more parameters. This second set includes at least one parameter not included in the first set, and comprises fewer bits than the first set. The base station initializes the sequence generators by transmitting the first and second sets of parameters to the devices.

    摘要: A reference signal, RS, is generated in a wireless communication system based on a starting position, in the frequency domain, of the RS and a transmission channel bandwidth of the RS. At least one of the starting position of the RS and the bandwidth allocated to a transmission channel for the RS is/are ascertained. A base sequence index, BSI, is then derived by mapping at least one ascertained of the RS starting position and transmission channel bandwidth (12) according to a predefined mapping rule (14) to the BSI (16). The RS is determined based on the derived BSI.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for signaling an implicit signaling bit in a scheduling grant message are disclosed, including the implicit signaling of parameters related to the configuration of sounding reference signals. In various embodiments, implicit signaling is achieved by observing that certain codepoints in downlink control information formats are unused for certain scheduling assignments. The information content of certain information fields in the DCI format are redesigned to exploit this unused bandwidth, allowing the implicit signaling of one or more bits that can be used to extend the number of SRS configurations that can be specified in the DCI. In alternative embodiments, the implicit signaling concept is exploited in order to reduce the signaling payload while maintaining flexibility in dynamically assigning different SRS configurations by way of scheduling grant messages.
