    Abstract: There is provided a fluorine-containing copolymer containing tetrafluoroethylene unit, hexafluoropropylene unit, and a fluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) unit, wherein the copolymer has a content of hexafluoropropylene unit of 11.5 to 12.5% by mass with respect to the whole of the monomer units, a content of the fluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) unit of 0 to 0.5% by mass with respect to the whole of the monomer units, a melt flow rate at 372° C. of 0.8 to 4.0 g/10 min, and a total number of —CF2H, carbonyl group-containing terminal groups, —CF═CF2 and —CH2OH of 50 or less per 106 main-chain carbon atoms.

    Abstract: A method for producing a fluoropolymer which includes polymerizing a fluoromonomer in an aqueous medium in the presence of a fluorine-containing diacyl peroxide represented by the formula (1): XRfaC(═O)OOC(═O)RfbY (wherein X and Y are each independently H or F; and Rfa and Rfb are each independently a C1-C6 linear or branched perfluoroalkylene group optionally containing an ether bond) and a fluorine-containing carboxylic acid represented by the following formula (2): Z2RfcCOOH (wherein Z2 is H or F; and Rfc is a C1-C3 linear or branched perfluoroalkylene group optionally containing an ether bond when Z2 is H, and Rfc is a C1 or C2 linear or branched perfluoroalkylene group optionally containing an ether bond when Z2 is F) to provide a fluoropolymer.
