Abstract:
An electric AC machine includes a primary section and a secondary section. The primary section has a region facing the secondary section and a region facing away from the secondary section. The region facing the secondary section has windings adapted to receive an AC current. The winding of the primary section has at least one phase conductor which at least partially extends in or on the region of the primary section facing away from the secondary section, thereby producing a magnetic field that extends outside the secondary section. This arrangement can reduce overvoltages and eliminate voltage breakdowns at the star point of winding strands of a synchronous motor.
Abstract:
A device for compensating a torque produced on a movable axle in a machine tool or production machine by a gyrostatic effect includes a rotating useful machine system attached to the movable axle and producing a useful angular momentum, and a rotating machine counter-system attached to the axle and producing a counter angular momentum. The magnitude of the counter angular momentum is substantially identical to the magnitude of the useful angular momentum. The useful torque produced by a movement of the rotating useful machine system through a temporal change of the useful angular momentum is at least partially compensated by a counter-torque produced by a temporal change of the counter angular momentum. This arrangement represents a simple device for compensating a torque produced by the gyrostatic effect on a movable axle of machine tolls and production machines.
Abstract:
In a method for increasing the control dynamics of a load driven by a direct drive via a driveshaft, a first transducer provides a first output signal indicating a first rotation speed, and a second transducer provides a second output signal indicating a second rotation speed. The direct drive is located between the first transducer and second transducer, with the second transducer being located in close proximity of the load. A mixed rotation speed is computed from a linear combination of the two rotation speed values, which is used as an actual control value of a controller of the direct drive. This method provides a very simple approach for increasing the control dynamics of a load driven by direct drive via a driveshaft.

An electric AC machine with a primary section and a secondary section is disclosed.
Abstract:
A momentum-decoupled drive train for a machine, includes a servo motor, a first drive element and a second drive element. The second drive element is movably supported relative to a machine bed in a movement direction of a machine carriage. Reaction forces which are caused by the movement of the machine carriage, are compensated by a corresponding counter movement of the second drive element or a reaction carriage connected thereto, and hence are not transferred to the machine bed. The position of the machine carriage relative to the machine bed is controlled by correcting the position setpoint value with actual position and velocity data for the reaction carriage relative to the machine bed.
Abstract:
A linear motor includes a rotor (70) and a secondary member (80), wherein the secondary member (80) carries a cover for protection against mechanical damage, aggressive liquids etc. The cover (40) has low magnetizable material and is held in place by magnetic elements (30) of the secondary member. Thus, there is no need to secure the cover additionally by gluing etc and the cover can be easily replaced. The cover can be placed, preferably, as one piece upon the secondary member, which may be made of several secondary member elements, and carries a scale for controlling the position of the motor.
