    摘要: A gas component detection apparatus comprises a first and a second gas sensing elements each composed of a metal oxide which exhibits variable electric resistances according to gaseous components and temperatures of gases to be detected. A catalyst is carried at least by the first sensing element for promoting oxidation reactions of the gaseous components of the gases. A first pair of electrodes are inserted into those portions of the first sensing element which are subjected to catalytic action of the catalyst. Into the portions of the second sensing element which are not subjected to catalytic action are inserted a second pair of electrodes. The first pair of electrodes sense a variation in electric resistances resulting from the gaseous components and temperatures of the gases, while the second pair of electrodes detect an electric resistance variation related mainly upon the gas temperatures. Consequently, an output signal reflecting substantially only the gaseous components of the gases is produced by offsetting both of the electric resistances separately sensed utilizing a suitable electric circuit.

An intake manifold vacuum signal during an intake stroke of one cylinder of the engine is stored or delayed a given time, and then an intake manifold vacuum signal and a rotational speed signal of the engine are delivered to a computing unit which computes a spark advance for the specific cylinder.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling an internal combustion engine by a digital computer. A pulse generator for generating reference pulse signals in synchronism with the rotation of the crankshaft of the engine is associated with the digital computer which is programmed to discriminate the rotational speed of the engine is higher or lower than a predetermined value in response to the reference signals and digitally calculate a required amount of fuel to be supplied to the engine or the like. When the rotational speed is discriminated to be lower than the predetermined value, the required calculation, including first and second portions is completed in response to each reference pulse signal and the combustion of the engine is controlled according to the calculated value, whereas when the rotational speed is discriminated higher than the predetermined value, the first and second portions of the calculation are performed alternately in response to successive reference pulse signals, and with each reference pulse the results of the most recently executed first and second portions are combined to form a calculated value and the combustion of the engine is controlled in accordance with the calculated value.

    摘要: A feedback air-fuel ratio regulator comprises an air-fuel ratio sensor which determines air-fuel ratio of the combustible gas from the composition of its exhaust gas and produces a sudden change in its output at a preset theoretical air-fuel ratio and an electronic air-fuel ratio controlling circuit. The latter includes voltage detectors for detecting the output voltage of the air-fuel ratio sensor at two or more points corresponding to certain richer and leaner air-fuel ratios than the theoretical one. Switching means are actuated by the output combined by the voltage detectors. An integrating circuits has a time constant which is determined by a condenser and resistance selected by the switching means, whereby the amount of fuel to be injected is regulated by the time constant which is determined by the output of integrating circuit according to said output voltage.
