Abstract: The invention relates to a pack of electrically heated cigarettes, which comprises a container and a lid hinged one another; wherein the container comprises a top chamber which houses a group of cigarettes, a bottom chamber and a dividing wall, which divides the top chamber from the bottom chamber; and wherein a drawer is provided, which is arranged in the area of the bottom chamber and can slide between a closed position, in which the drawer is completely arranged inside the container and an open position, limited by a limit stop device, in which the drawer is partially pulled out of the container; the distance between the dividing wall and the top wall of the lid when the latter closes the top opening of the container, being between 4.5 and 5.5 centimetres; and the distance between the bottom wall of the drawer, when the latter is in the relative closed position, and the dividing wall being between 3.5 centimetres and 4.5 centimetres.

Abstract: A method and a device for the ultrasonic welding of a first component to a second component of an electronic cigarette cartridge, wherein both components are made of a plastic material; the device includes an ultrasound generator, which delivers an electric pulse to a vibrating assembly, which, in turn, includes a converter designed to turn the electric pulse into a mechanical vibration movement and transfers it to a sonotrode, which directly transmits the energy in the form of vibrations to the two components to be welded; the sonotrode is designed so as to simultaneously weld a plurality of first components to the respective second components and cooperates with a plurality of striker elements, each associated to a respective first component and to a respective second component to be welded; and wherein each striker element is connected to a sensor, which is designed to detect a parameter of the welding process carried out to weld the first component to the second component and to control the welding process carried out to weld the first component to the second component based on the parameter.

Abstract: A pack for smoking articles having: an inner container housing a group of smoking articles and provided with an extraction opening for the smoking articles; a closing tab coupled to the inner container in the area of the extraction opening to close the extraction opening, the closing tab being glued to the inner container in a releasable manner; a rigid outer container that houses the inner container; and a cup-shaped lid hinged to the outer container so as to rotate, relative to the outer container, between an opening position and a closing position. The closing tab has: a plastic layer arranged internally, a through opening arranged in the area of the extraction opening, and directly glued to an outer surface of the inner container using re-stick glue; and a paper layer arranged in contact with the plastic layer and more on the outside than the plastic layer.

Abstract: An automatic machine for the production or the packaging of consumer products, in particular of the tobacco industry has at least one processing line provided with a plurality of operating members and feeds at least one material used to manufacture the consumer products. A control and/or identification method includes carrying out, inside a volume containing at least part of the automatic machine, a three-dimensional detection using at least one hyperspectral detection unit for detecting alterations of the electromagnetic field produced by all the objects inside the volume, the hyperspectral detection unit outputs raw data concerning the dimensions, position, shape, physical structure, and/or the chemical composition of all the objects present inside the volume. The raw data is filtered using an artificial intelligence algorithm to isolate and extract information concerning at least one single object inside the volume; and the information is used to carry out a control and/or identification operation.
