    Abstract: A system for packaging electronic components in a rotatable shaft includes an annular carrier shaft having a first end that is axially spaced from a second end and an inner surface that is radially spaced from an outer surface, and a plurality of transmitter assemblies annularly arranged within the carrier shaft. Each transmitter assembly includes a transmitter housing radially supported within the carrier shaft via a pair of circumferentially spaced rail members.     Abstract: A vibration damping element for a vibration damping system for a turbine nozzle or blade includes an elongated body and a wire mesh member that surrounds the elongated body. The wire mesh member has a first outer dimension in an inoperative state and a second, larger outer dimension in an operative state. In the operative state, the wire mesh member frictionally engages with an inner surface of a body opening in the turbine nozzle or blade to damp vibration. In the inoperative state, the wire mesh member slides freely in the body opening in the turbine nozzle or blade. A retention system includes a retention member on the elongated body that fixes the wire mesh member relative to a length of the elongated body in the operative state in the body opening of the turbine nozzle or blade.

    Abstract: Turbine shrouds including shot peen screens integrally formed therein. The shroud may include a unitary body having a support portion coupled directly to a turbine casing of the turbine system, an intermediate portion integral with and extending away from the support portion, and a seal portion integral with the intermediate portion, opposite the support portion.     Abstract: Turbine shrouds including structural breakdown and collapsible features are disclosed. The shrouds may include a unitary body including a support portion coupled directly to a turbine casing of the turbine system, an intermediate portion integral with and extending away from the support portion, and a seal portion integral with the intermediate portion. The unitary body of the shroud may also include two opposing slash faces extending adjacent to and between the support portion and the seal portion, and a plenum extending through the support portion, the intermediate portion, and at least a portion of the seal portion, between the two opposing slash faces. Additionally, the unitary body may include a bridge member(s) formed integral with the intermediate portion, and extending partially through the plenum, and an aperture(s) formed within a portion of the plenum extending through the intermediate portion.
