    Abstract: A rectifier assembly according to an example of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a first housing and a second housing extending along an assembly axis, the first housing surrounding a pair of electrical rings. At least one spring strip includes a first spring strip portion transverse to a second spring strip portion, the second spring strip portion to bias diodes against an inner periphery of the pair of electrical rings. The second housing includes at least one connection terminal for receiving a wire from an exciter rotor, the at least one connection terminal including a screw threaded area which receives a bolt holding the first spring strip portion. A generator and a method of assembling a rectifier assembly are also disclosed.

    Abstract: An electrical machine includes a rotor including windings circumferentially spaced apart by rotor wedges. The electrical machine includes a rotor end plate mounted to the rotor. The rotor end plate includes an annular end plate body with an interior surface and axially opposed exterior surface. The interior surface includes a cavity for engaging the rotor. The interior surface has a base that is bounded by an inner rim and an outer rim radially opposite the inner rim. The interior surface is free of anti-rotation projections extending axially therefrom. The outer rim is free of anti-rotation features extending radially inward therefrom.

    Abstract: A multiphase switched flux electric machine including a rotary drive shaft, a ferromagnetic salient pole rotor assembly operably coupled to the rotary drive shaft having a plurality of rotor teeth defining a circumferential outer periphery of the rotor assembly, and a stator assembly. The stator assembly includes a ferromagnetic stator core, a plurality of permanent magnets positioned substantially equidistant about an inner circumference of the stator core, a plurality ferromagnetic stator teeth mounted to the permanent magnets on the stator core with distal ends forming an inner periphery of the stator assembly, the inner periphery proximate the outer axial periphery of the rotor assembly separated by an air gap; and a plurality of stator coils with an axial active portions disposed within selected teeth of the plurality of ferromagnetic stator teeth.
