The method includes: selecting, by user equipment, a random access preamble from a random access preamble set, and selecting a random access channel resource from a random access channel resource set; sending, by the user equipment, the random access preamble by using the random access channel resource; and receiving, by the user equipment, a random access response message on a first downlink bandwidth part; wherein at least one of the random access preamble set or the random access channel resource set corresponds to the first downlink bandwidth part, and the random access channel resource includes at least one of a random access channel time domain resource or a random access channel frequency domain resource.

Abstract: This application relates to a discontinuous reception method. In the first time unit, for example, the first symbol, after a hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ feedback occasion of a sidelink HARQ process, a first terminal may start a drx-HARQ-RTT-TimerSL and start a drx-RetransmissionTimerSL when the drx-HARQ-RTT-TimerSL expires. During running of the drx-RetransmissionTimerSL, the first terminal monitors a physical downlink control channel. In this way, sidelink retransmission efficiency can be improved, an increase of a sidelink retransmission delay can be avoided, and sidelink-based applications, such as unmanned driving, automatic driving, assisted driving, intelligent driving, networked driving, intelligent networked driving, and car sharing in the field of artificial intelligence can be better supported.

Abstract: This application provides a data processing method and apparatus, and a computer storage medium. When a PDCP entity over a UM DRB is re-established, or when a cell handover occurs and the PDCP entity over a UM DRB uses a key used before the handover, the PDCP entity determines a first SDU, where the first SDU is an SDU that is associated with a sequence number by the PDCP entity but whose corresponding data has not been transmitted through an air interface; and delivers a PDU corresponding to the first SDU to an RLC entity. Data corresponding to the first SDU is redelivered, to avoid a data packet loss caused by preprocessing of the PDCP entity.

A data packet in the communications system may also be transmitted first in a first frequency higher than a second frequency, and then be retransmitted in the second frequency upon transmission failure of the data packet in the first frequency.

The method includes: the terminal device determines to change the type of at least one wireless carrier of the terminal device from a first type to a second type and discards a radio link control protocol RLC and/or an RLC service data unit buffered by a transmit side of an RLC entity of at least one radio bearer. The terminal device assembles an RLC protocol data unit received by a receive side of the RLC layer entity of at least one radio bearer into an RLC service data unit, and delivers the RLC service data unit to an upper layer entity of the RLC layer entity, where the upper layer entity is an upper layer entity of the RLC layer entity before the type of the at least on radio bearer is changed.
