    Abstract: This application discloses a reference signal sending method and apparatus, to resolve a problem that only a fixed mapping manner and a single function are available in an existing RS mapping and configuration solution, so as to improve spectral efficiency. The method includes: determining a time-frequency resource used to carry a first reference signal, where the time-frequency resource is a dedicated time-frequency resource of at least one second reference signal; and sending the first reference signal by using the determined time-frequency resource.

    Abstract: This application provides a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) transmission method and a communications device. The method includes: determining, by a communications device, a current mode of a resource scheduling unit, where the current mode is a frequency hopping mode or an aggregation mode, and performing, by the communications device, DMRS mapping or demapping by using a DMRS pattern corresponding to the current mode, where a location of a symbol occupied by a DMRS in the DMRS pattern corresponding to the current mode is different from a location of a symbol occupied by a DMRS in a preset DMRS pattern. In embodiments of this application, a location of a symbol occupied by a DMRS can be flexibly selected depending on different modes. Therefore, requirements of the different modes can be satisfied in the embodiments of this application, thereby improving network performance.

The method further includes performing, by the terminal device, in response to the value of the resource bundling granularity being a second-type value, determining a scheduling resource corresponding to the terminal device as a same resource block bundling group, wherein, the second-type value comprises a size of a consecutive scheduling bandwidth of the terminal device, and receiving, using the resource block bundling group, data transmitted by the network device.
