摘要: According to one embodiment, an information reading apparatus includes a first image-data specifying section, a second image-data specifying section, a correspondence determining section, an information-code specifying section, and an information specifying section. The first image-data specifying section specifies, from photographed image data, first image data corresponding to an information code given to a commodity. The second image-data specifying section specifies, from the photographed image data, second image data corresponding to a pasted object pasted to the commodity. The correspondence determining section determines that the first image data and the second image data correspond to each other when the first image data is located, with respect to the second image data, in a direction specified on the basis of the second image data. The information-code specifying section specifies the information code from the first image data. The information specifying section specifies information from the second image data.

摘要: A feature vector creating section creates a feature vector unique to a customer on the basis of the images of a person picked up by cameras in a store. An entrance information storage section stores entrance information obtained by adding the identification code, entrance time, etc. to the feature vector of the incoming person. A customer collating section collates the feature vector of a person leaving and moving around the store with the feature vectors stored in the entrance information storage section. When the collation has found the same customer, the customer's identification code, pickup time, pickup place, and others are stored as traffic-line information into a traffic-line storage section. The route that a customer took is found by picking up pieces of the traffic-line information with the same identification code.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a code reading apparatus includes an image capturing section, a first detecting section, a second detecting section, and an informing section. The image capturing section captures an image picked up by an image pickup section. The first detecting section detects a first symbol including commodity information of a commodity from the image captured by the image capturing section. The second detecting section detects a second symbol different from the shape of an element included in the first symbol in the image captured by the image capturing section. The informing section informs, if the second detecting section detects the second symbol, that a benefit indication indicating a benefit granted with respect to the commodity information is affixed to the commodity.

摘要: An autonomous traveling unit is advanced toward a wall such that a charging unit is located on the right side. When a distance to the wall reaches a predetermined value not smaller than a thickness of a first member of the charging unit, the autonomous traveling unit is stopped. In this state, the autonomous traveling unit is rotated by 90° to the right so as to face a plane formed by a second member of the charging unit at the right angle. Then, the autonomous traveling unit is advanced toward the second member of the charging unit, and when a distance to the plane reaches a predetermined value, the autonomous traveling unit is stopped. In this state, the autonomous traveling unit is rotated by 90° to the right such that charging terminals face power supply terminals provided on the first member of the charging unit at the right angle. Finally, the autonomous traveling unit is run backward slightly, and when the charging terminals come into contact with the power supply terminals, the autonomous traveling unit is stopped and charging to the autonomous traveling unit is started.
