摘要: The grid is disposed between a subject to be imaged and a solid-state detector while a radiation source and radiation-impermeable members of a grid are in such a positional relationship that the orbital plane of the radiation source which is angularly movable and the direction in which the radiation-impermeable members extend are perpendicular to each other. The radiation source is moved to an angular position through an turning angle which is up to 5° excluding 0°, from a line normal to the solid-state detector. The radiation source moved to the angular position applies a radiation obliquely to the subject.

摘要: A radiation image capturing apparatus is capable of setting highly accurately an optimum dose of radiation to be applied to an area of interest of a subject. A solid-state detector acquires radiation image information of a breast from a radiation that has been emitted from a radiation source and passed through the breast. A detected value is compared with a predetermined threshold value used to identify the area of interest, and a detection corrective value is calculated based on detected values from the region including the area of interest and detected values from the area of interest. Based on the detection corrective value, an AEC corrector corrects a radiation dose detected by an identified one of AEC sensors, and an exposure control condition depending on the area of interest to be imaged of the subject is determined based on the corrected radiation dose.

摘要: A zoom lens has, in succession from the object side, a first lens unit having positive refractive power, a second lens unit having negative refractive power, and a third lens unit having positive refractive power. The second and third lens units are moved to thereby effect zooming. When variations in the magnifications of the second and third lens units from the wide angle end to the telephoto end are Z.sub.2 and Z.sub.3, respectively, the zoom lens satisfies the condition that Z.sub.3 /Z.sub.2 >1.4. The zoom lens is compact and yet covers a wide angle range of an angle of view of 60.degree.-80.degree..
