Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for transmitting information using a unique word (UW) with discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) are described herein. In an example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may generate a reference sequence. Further, the WTRU may generate a DMRS sequence based on upsampling of the reference sequence. In an example, the DMRS sequence may include a plurality of repeating sequences. Further, in an example, each repeating sequence may include a head sequence, a reference sequences and a tail sequence. Also, a UW sequence within the DMRS may include one of the repeated head sequences and one of the repeated tail sequences. In addition, the WTRU may generate a DMRS signal based on a waveform operation on the DMRS sequence. The WTRU may then transmit the DMRS signal as a reference signal.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are described herein that may be used for transmission of one or more DCI, CSI-RS and/or CSI reports. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a DCI that includes information indicating two channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources and four CSI reporting resources. Each CSI-RS resource may be associated with two CSI reporting resources. The WTRU may monitor a first CSI-RS resource for a CSI-RS. If the WTRU does not identify the CSI-RS in the first CSI-RS resource, the WTRU may monitor a second CSI-RS resource for the CSI-RS. The WTRU may receive the CSI-RS on the first CSI-RS resource or the second CSI-RS resource. The WTRU may determine availabilities of the first and/or the second CSI reporting resource associated with the CSI-RS resource on which the WTRU received the CSI-RS. The WTRU may transmit a CSI report on an available CSI reporting resource.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a downlink transmission and send a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission in each resource block (RB) of an interlace of a plurality of RBs in an active bandwidth part (BWP). A base sequence is mapped to the PUCCH transmission repetitively, once to each RB of the plurality of RBs of the interlace, using a different cyclic shift of the base sequence for each RB. Each different cyclic shift of the base sequence in the PUCCH transmission to each RB is a function of a RB index of the respective RB. The PUCCH transmission indicates either an acknowledgement (ACK) or a negative ACK (NACK) of the received downlink transmission.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products directed to unique word (UW) discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spread and shaped orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) (“UW DFT-S-S-OFDM”) based communications are provided. Among new methodologies and/or technologies provided is a method implemented in transmitter and includes any of: transforming a set of data symbols and a UW sequence into a frequency domain (“fDOM”) signal using a DFT; replicating the fDOM signal so as to form a plurality of fDOM signal instances, wherein the plurality of fDOM signal instances is inclusive of the fDOM signal; shaping one or more of the plurality of fDOM signal instances; combining the plurality of fDOM signal instances to form a combined fDOM signal; transforming the combined fDOM signal into a block-based signal using an inverse DFT (IDFT); and outputting the block-based signal.

Abstract: An LBT method and apparatus are disclosed for a WTRU and gNB. A method may comprise receiving a gNB beam direction schedule and an LBT measurement configuration. The WTRU may switch a receiver so as to receive a beam based on the beam direction schedule and monitor for a DCI. The WTRU may be configured to determine whether there is a transmission for the WTRU and if there is, the transmission may be received. The transmission may be a DCI for an uplink transmission of the WTRU. A WTRU may be configured to receive the gNB beam direction schedule and the LBT measurement configuration at a start of an MCOT.
