    摘要: According to an aspect, a touch detection device includes drive electrodes, touch detection electrodes, a signal generation unit that generates direct-current signals having voltages different from one another, a first drive unit that selectively supplies one of the direct-current signals to the drive electrodes, an element, a second drive unit that selectively supplies one of the direct-current signals to one end of the element in synchronization with the first drive unit, and a detection unit that acquires output values from the touch detection electrodes and an output value from the element at the same time, and detects proximity or contact of a target object based on values obtained by correcting the output values from the touch detection electrodes using the output value from the element.

The first electrodes constitute sensor drive electrodes by being supplied with sensor drive signals separately and sequentially or sensor drive electrodes by simultaneously supplying the sensor drive signals to the first electrodes adjacent to each other. A width of the sensor drive electrode including the first electrode on the edge is smaller than a width of the other sensor drive electrode not including the first electrode on the edge.

A display device includes: an electro-optical layer; a first driving electrode and a second driving electrode which drives the electro-optical layer; a driver chip which outputs a video signal; a switch circuit which is arranged outside the driver chip, which selects a potential to be supplied to the second driving electrode, and which includes a first switch element and a second switch element; a shift register circuit connected to the switch circuit; and a detection circuit which detects that an object is close or in contact. Each of the first switch element and the second switch element is selectively turned ON or OFF by the shift register circuit. The detection circuit is electrically connected to the first switch element and the second switch element.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes a panel unit and a driving unit driving the panel unit. The driving unit includes as operation modes a first mode in which a detection operation of a first external object is performed in units of a divided region obtained by dividing an entire surface of a touch region of the panel unit and a second mode in which a detection operation of a second external object is performed on the entire surface of the touch region of the panel unit. The first mode is a mode detecting, in units of the divided region of the panel unit, a contact position of the first external object with each divided region, and the second mode is a mode detecting, on the entire surface of the panel unit, whether or not the second external object approaches the entire surface.
