In preferred embodiments each of the two radios in a link uses a single aperture to transmit radiation in one of the two bands, and receive radiation in the other of the bands. The counterpart radio used to form a link preferably is almost identical, except for the interchange of the transmit and receive frequencies. Preferred embodiments utilize a modulation scheme in which the radios each receive on-off keyed data and transmit the on-off keyed data encoded in a millimeter wave carrier wave with binary phase shift keying.

An aspect of the invention concerns a multiprocessing system that comprises a hardware control component for selecting a hardware management action responsive to a hardware policy and a virtualization component for presenting virtual hardware resources to a software task execution environment. The system may further comprise a software workload management component for controlling at least one running software task and routing at least one new software task using the virtual hardware resources; and a communication component for signaling the software workload management component to perform a software management action in compliance with the hardware management action. The hardware policy may be a hardware power management policy, and the software management action may comprise quiescing the at least one running software task or routing the new software tasks to a different software task execution environment.

    摘要: A CMOS image sensor with a many million pixel count. Applicants have developed techniques for combining its continuous layer photodiode CMOS sensor technology with CMOS integrated circuit lithography stitching techniques to provide digital cameras with an almost unlimited number of pixels. A preferred CMOS stitching technique exploits the precise alignment accuracy of CMOS stepper processes by using specialized mask sets to repeatedly produce a single pixel array pattern many times on a single silicon wafer with no pixel array discontinuities. The single array patterns are stitched together lithographically to form a pixel array of many million pixels. A continuous multilayer photodiode layer is deposited over the top of the many million pixel array to provide a many million pixel sensor with a fill factor of 100 percent or substantially 100 percent.

    摘要: The invention provides press brake and press brake tooling technology. Certain embodiments of the invention provide a press brake tool that has an elongated, retractable safety key. In certain embodiments, the invention provides click-in/slide-out press brake tools. In some of these embodiments, the tool has a safety key defining a flat (i.e., a planar wall section/planar surface) that is adapted for sliding along a surface of a tool holder when the tool is dismounted from the holder by moving the tool horizontally out of the holder. In certain embodiments, the flat has a longitudinal length of at least about 0.008 inch (in some cases, at least about 0.010 inch, at least about 0.015 inch, or at least about 0.020 inch), ranging up to the full longitudinal length of the tool.     摘要: A magnetoinductive flowmeter includes a measuring tube, a magnetic field device serving to generate and guide a magnetic field at least part of which permeates the measuring tube, and two electrodes for collecting a voltage induced in a medium as it flows through the measuring tube. The electrodes are so positioned, without connection to the magnetic field device, that their longitudinal axes extend at an angle diverging from zero relative to the direction of the voltage induction. In this uncomplicated fashion, a large effective electrode surface is made available for collecting the voltage induced in the medium. A method for producing the flowmeter is also described.

They include a rotary drum, an accumulation nip, a blanket that positions the film against the drum, and a blanket tensioner located away from the accumulation nip. The drum includes at least one seal bar mounted thereon, and the accumulation nip provides the film to the drum. Various aspects include the accumulation nip being in a fixed position independent of changes of the drum diameter, and/or the path from the accumulation nip to the drum being fixed in length, independent of changes of the drum diameter. An accumulation sensor and a controller that controls the accumulation nip speed and the drum speed in response to the sensor are provided in one embodiment. The speed control is in response to the speed of the film, the rate of change of a function of the input, response history, and/or a setpoint, in various alternatives. A drawtape module and a powered unwind are disposed in a single module with the rotary drum, in another embodiment. A registration mark sensor is located upstream of the accumulation nip, along a path having a fixed length to the drum, in another embodiment. The sensor may be a print sensor.
