    摘要: Apparatus, and an associated method, for providing traffic route visualization. An electronic map device creates a map that is displayable at a user display of a user interface. The map is created through the access of a traffic image data base and a traffic information data base. Information stored at the data bases is obtained in a collaborative effort to provide and maintain updated information thereat. Images stored at the image data base comprise actual image files or photo realistic images that are consolidated together with traffic information. The resultant map is of characteristics permitting quick comprehension by a viewer thereof.

    摘要: Systems and techniques for facilitating link analysis may be implemented by storing data regarding a knowledge domain. The data may include information about nodes and reflective links. Each node may represent an entity in the knowledge domain. Each reflective link may represent a relationship between a respective pair of nodes, including a first node and a second node. Each reflective link may include information about a first set of characteristics for the relationship of the first node to the second node and a second set of characteristics for the relationship of the second node to the first node. By allowing the first set of characteristics to be different from and to include reflective characteristics of the second set of characteristics, different properties and functions can be associated with each direction of the reflective link. Link analysis may be performed on nodes and reflective links to more effectively infer new knowledge.

    摘要: Systems and techniques for facilitating link analysis may be implemented by creating a data structure that includes a flexible and optimal representation of data for use in performing link analysis. The data structure may be used for storing data relating to a knowledge domain, and the data may include generic nodes, node instances, generic links, and link instances. Each generic node may define properties of potential node instances. Each node instance may be based on a corresponding generic node and may represent an entity in the knowledge domain. Each generic link may define properties and/or functions of potential link instances. Each link instance may be based on a corresponding generic link and may represent a relationship between node instances. The data may be stored in tables in a database and may be analyzed by performing a link-by-link search to infer new knowledge about relationships among entities in the knowledge domain.

    摘要: A system and method are presented for the comparative analysis of textual documents. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention the method includes accessing two or more documents, performing a linguistic analysis on each document, outputting a quantified representation of a semantic content of each document, and comparing the quantified representations using a defined metric. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention such a metric can measure relative semantic closeness or distance of two documents. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention the semantic content of a document can be expressed as a semantic vector. The format of a semantic vector is flexible, and in exemplary embodiments of the present invention it and any metric used to operate on it can be adapted and optimized to the type and/or domain of documents being analyzed and the goals of the comparison.
