    摘要： A process cartridge remanufacturing method including: detaching, at one longitudinal end of a process cartridge, a first cover member from a drum frame and a developing frame; detaching, at the other longitudinal end, a second cover member from the drum frame and the developing frame; detaching a drum supporting member from the drum frame; separating the developing frame and the drum frame; detaching a developing roller from the developing frame; filling a developer containing portion with the developer from a developer supply port provided on the developing frame; mounting a developing roller to a developing frame; mounting, at the one end, a photosensitive drum to a drum frame; securing the drum frame and the developing frame in position at the one end by a first cover member; securing the drum frame and the developing frame in position at the other end by a second cover member; temporarily mounting a drum supporting member to support the photosensitive drum at the other end; and mounting the drum supporting member and the second cover member to the drum frame by mounting a fixation member to a mounting hole provided in the second cover member by using the screw.

    摘要： A developing device develops an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrophotographic photosensitive member. The developing device is mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The developing device includes a developer carrying member for feeding a developer to the electrophotographic photosensitive member to develop the electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member, a first electroconductive portion, a second electroconductive portion for cooperating with the first electroconductive portion to provide an electrostatic capacity, a first electrical contact for receiving a voltage to be applied to the first electroconductive portion from the main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus, and a second electrical contact for transmitting, to the main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus, an electric signal corresponding to an electrostatic capacity between the first electroconductive portion and the second electroconductive portion when a voltage is applied to the first electroconductive portion to detect a remaining amount of the developer by the main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus.

    摘要： A developing device, a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus are provided which can suppress and prevent the slipping-through of a developer to the end portions of a developing sleeve and can suppress and prevent the leakage of the developer by a shock or the like. A developer sleeve 31 having a magnet roller 32 therein is disposed in the opening portion of a developing container 30, and magnet seal members 34 for regulating the movement of the toner are disposed in non-contact with the developing sleeve 31 on the outer peripheral surface of the opposite ends of the developing sleeve 31, which is adjacent to the developing container 30. The magnet roller 32 has a plurality of magnetic poles, and N and S poles are magnetized to multiple magnetic poles on the inner peripheral surfaces of the magnet seal members 34. The magnet roller and the magnet seal members are formed so that the peak value Br1 of the magnetic-flux density by each magnetic poles of the magnet roller in the direction of a normal to the surface position of the developing sleeve is smaller than the peak value Br2 of the magnetic-flux density by the opposing magnetic poles of the magnet seal members in the direction of the normal to the surface position of the developing sleeve.

    摘要： The present invention provides a method for recycling a process cartridge removably mountable to an image forming apparatus, comprising the steps of: (a) dividing a process cartridge into a first frame including an image bearing member, and a second frame including a developing means and a developer containing means for containing developer used by the developing means and having an opening through which the developer is supplied to the developing means; (b) thereafter, removing the developing means from the second frame; (c) thereafter, replenishing developer to the developer containing means through the opening; (d) thereafter, removably attaching a seal for closing the opening to the opening; and (e) thereafter, locking the first and second frames to each other, thereby assembling the process cartridge.

    摘要： A developing apparatus is constituted of a toner frame for containing developer and a developing frame for holding developer carrier, and both frames include plural pairs of connecting faces, one of which is made separable from the other faces, located at their connecting portion for mutual connection. When the apparatus is to be reused, the toner and developing frames are readily separated by removing the connecting face pair even where the connecting face pair formed at the connecting portion of the toner frame and developing frame had been connected by welding or whatever. The toner frame and developing frame can be reconnected by welding again the remaining connecting faces at their connecting portions.
