Certain embodiments of the present invention provide methods and systems for improved tumor ablation. Certain embodiments include determining a distance between a tumor and at least one of a plurality of landmarks bounding the tumor in at least one acquired image of an area of interest for a patient, obtaining positional data for an ablation instrument, and displaying a position of the ablation instrument with respect to the tumor. Additionally, a position of the ablation instrument may be dynamically displayed on the fluoroscopic image and/or the at least one acquired image during tumor ablation. Furthermore, a location cursor on the fluoroscopic image may be linked with a location cursor on the one or more acquired images. In certain embodiments, a location of a tip of the ablation instrument may be dynamically displayed with respect to a starting location and an ending location of the tumor.

Embodiments of the present invention provide an input device is configured for use with a processing unit in communication with the input device and a touch-sensitive monitor. The input device includes a main body having a distal operative end, and a rollerball positioned within a bearing at the distal operative end. The bearing retains the rollerball so that the rollerball is capable of rolling within the bearing. Movement of the rollerball is detectable by the processing unit so that digital data is input into the monitor through the rollerball.

Certain embodiments provide a user interface system displaying an electronic patient record. The system includes a timeline representation of a patient record. The timeline includes a plurality of data points related to a patient over time. The plurality of data points provides patient data aggregated from a plurality of information sources. The timeline provides access to and review of the plurality of data points within a single view. The system includes one or more controls allowing navigation and manipulation of one or more of the plurality of data points in the timeline.
摘要:
A system and method to increase the efficiency of the healthcare system. Computer software for analyzing data and returning recommended procedure types based on the data. The data may include, for example, medical data, patient symptoms, patient vitals, patient history, chief complaint of a patient, intakes, outputs, physical information, medications, or demographic information and/or other information relevant to a patient's health. The data may be input from a user or information recommended from another source, such as a database. Computer software may analyze the data and return recommended procedure types based on the data. The analysis performed by the computer software may include mapping the data among potential procedures to determine which procedures should be performed based on the data. Procedures that are successfully mapped with the data may be recommended to a user and ordered from a user interface.
