    摘要: Projection display apparatus 1 includes light source lamp unit 8, optical lens unit 9, projection lens unit 6, and power supply unit 7. Projection lens unit 6 is disposed in the front part of outside case 2, light source lamp unit 8 is disposed in the back part of the outside case of the apparatus, and between these units 6 and 8 optical lens unit 9 and power supply unit 7 are disposed in a vertically stacked arrangement with optical lens unit 9 on the top and power supply unit 7 on the bottom. Because these large units 9 and 7 are vertically stacked, the front-back and right-left dimensions (i.e. length and width) of the overall apparatus can be reduced. An apparatus 1 that is easily portable and does not require a large installation space can therefore be achieved. Because the heavy power supply unit 7 is on the bottom, apparatus 1 is also stable when placed on a table, etc.

A light synthetic device synthesizes each color light modulated by the liquid crystal panels. A projection lens projects the light synthesized by the light synthetic device. Setting members set the liquid crystal panels to the light synthetic device and wedge-type spacer members adjust the position of the liquid crystal panels in their planar direction and the direction perpendicular to the planar direction.The liquid crystal panels are secured to the light synthetic device through the setting members and spacer members.

    摘要: A projection display apparatus comprising a floppy disk drive device and floppy disk insertion opening in an appropriate arrangement is provided. A power supply unit, over which is disposed a floppy disk drive unit, is provided at the back of the projection display apparatus. The floppy disk drive unit is positioned offset to the left side of the projection display apparatus. A floppy disk (FD) insertion opening is positioned in a side wall at the left side of the exterior case of the projection display apparatus. An FD drive circuit board is positioned horizontally to the right of the floppy disk drive unit and slightly overlapping a drive control circuit board such that the electrical connections between the drive control circuit board and the FD drive circuit board can be made in this overlapping area. The side wall in which the floppy disk insertion opening is provided includes the operating panel in which the input/output terminals and operating switches are also disposed. This arrangement enables the floppy disk drive unit to be provided inside the projection display apparatus without using specific separate mounting members or reinforcing members therefor, and enables electrical connections between the power supply unit and control circuit board to be established via the FD drive circuit board without using separate wiring or harnesses. Operability is also improved because the floppy disk insertion opening is provided at the operating panel side.
