摘要： An image processing system includes a plurality of MFPs connected to a network, and each of the plurality of MFPs is provided with an HDD to store registered user information associating user identification information for identifying a user and personal information related to that user, and when the user identification information is inputted, it determines whether the personal information associated with the user identification information is stored in the HDD or not, and if the personal information is stored, the personal information is read from the HDD, and if the personal information is not stored, it transmits a personal information transmission request including the user identification information to another MFP, and receives the personal information from the MFP that stores the registered user information including the user identification information, and controls a prescribed apparatus operation based on the read or received personal information.

摘要： An image processing system and method wherein image data is compressed and written to memory. The system includes a first controller, a second controller, a first detector, a third controller and a second detector. The first controller sequentially executes a reading and an image processing of image data from memory. The second controller sequentially executes a re-reading and an image processing of the image data from memory. The first detector detects insufficiency of empty capacity of the memory based on a size of image data of one page compressed at a predetermined compression rate. If insufficient memory for new image data is detected, the third controller writes new image data after a termination of the image processing of the image data of at least one page previously stored. The second detector detects overwriting by the third controller of the new image data on the stored image data.

摘要： Additive information for restoring the contour of image is generated and embedded in the image data. The format of the additive information is determined beforehand. When a hard copy is produced, the additive information is extracted from received image data. The additive information is for example very small characteristic points of a density different from the density assigned for image data and arranged inside the contour. The image data are restored according to the extracted additive information. The additive information can be generated for example from the code information for generating patterns such as control points data of outline font. For a half-tone image, a plurality of density bands are assigned to the additive information. A read error is detected by comparing the restored image with the received image data.

摘要： An image forming apparatus including a mechanism for forming a visual image on a sheet of paper and a plurality of sheets supply mechanisms each including a sheet storage cassette detachably incorporated therein. A detector for detecting the attaching operation of the sheet storage cassettes in each of the sheets supply mechanisms is also provided. An automatic selecting circuit, which is responsive to the detector, automatically selects the sheets supply mechanisms for which the attaching operation has been detected by the detector. A signal is generated to disable the automatic selecting circuit. The disabling signal enables operation without a cassette attached to the sheets supply mechanism irrespective of the sheet size selected.
