    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling configuring the UE to use a first waveform for communicating via a first beam and a second waveform for communicating via a second beam, the first waveform being different than the second waveform. The UE may communicate a first data transmission via the first beam using the first waveform and communicate a second data transmission via the second beam using the second waveform.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for phase error estimation and correction with sub-symbol resolution. A transmitting device may precode symbols (e.g., phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) symbols) using a discrete Fourier transform (DFT). The transmitting device may map the DFT-precoded symbols to sets of adjacent subcarriers of a wireless signal, and may map other symbols to other subcarriers of the wireless signal. A receiving device may receive the wireless signal and may compare time domain representations of the DFT-precoded symbols with time domain representations of known reference symbols. The receiving device may estimate a phase error with sub-symbol resolution in the time domain based at least in part on the comparison, and may apply a phase correction in either the time or frequency domain to the other symbols.

    Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to systems, devices, apparatuses, products, and methods for wireless communication. For example, a communication system may include a repeater having a first communication interface that receives a control message that indicates a measurement configuration for a second communication interface of the repeater that is different than the first communication interface. The repeater receives, via the second communication interface, a first signal at the repeater from a first device. The repeater also measures a power metric associated with the first signal based on the measurement configuration. In some implementations, a base station or another device (e.g., UE), may communicate with the repeater and take one or more actions based on the power metric measured by the repeater.
