摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications supporting techniques for enhanced line-of-sight (LOS) communications with analog multi-path beamforming are described. A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, an indication of a capability of the second wireless device to concurrently transmit first signaling in a first analog beamforming direction using a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state corresponding to a LOS mode, and second signaling in a second analog beamforming direction using a second TCI state corresponding to an indirect LOS mode. The first wireless device may then receive, from the second wireless device, a first downlink message in the first analog beamforming direction using the first TCI state concurrently with a second downlink message in the second analog beamforming direction using the second TCI state.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A relay node may detect that a person is within a proximity threshold of the relay node, the proximity threshold being associated with a maximum permissible exposure limit. The relay node may determine, based at least in part on the detecting, that a first beamforming configuration is to be updated, the first beamforming configuration associated with beamformed communications relayed by the relay node between a first wireless node and a second wireless node using a first beam. The relay node may identify a second beamforming configuration for relay of the beamformed communications between the first wireless node and the second wireless node via a second beam having an exposure indicia that satisfies the maximum permissible exposure limit. The relay node may relay the beamformed communications between the wireless nodes using the second beam in accordance with the second beamforming configuration.

An RF repeater is configured to measure received power of one or more signals in the repeater for each of a plurality of beam directions. Further, the repeater determines a beam forming configuration for a fronthaul link between the repeater and at least one base station based on the measured received power of each of plurality of beam directions. The repeater may also be configured to determine beam configurations for access links between the repeater and user equipment.

The apparatus may configure a second set of resources associated with at least one of data or second control information for at least one UE, and the second set of resources may at least partially overlap with the first set of resources. The apparatus may transmit information indicating the first set of resources and the second set of resources to the relay device. Further, the apparatus may communicate, with the relay device, the first control information on the first set of resources and the at least one of data or second control information on the second set of resources, and the relay device may be configured to relay the at least one of data or second control information between the apparatus and the at least one UE.

In some examples, a base station may identify one or more communication paths to a user equipment (UE), and may determine an end-to-end signal quality for each communication path (e.g., a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)), one or more hop SNR values for each hop of each communication path, a ratio of the hop SNR values and the end-to-end SNR of each communication path, or a combination thereof. Based on the determined SNR values, ratios, or both, the base station may select a first communication path for a first type of communications (e.g., uplink, downlink, signal type, or the like) and a second communication path for a second type of communications (e.g., uplink, downlink, signal type, or the like), and may communicate with the UE using the selected communication paths.
