Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose methods for handling user equipment (UE) capability information and assistance information during a Multicast Broadcast Service (MBS) in a wireless communication system by a UE. The method includes receiving at least one event from a second network. Further, the method includes sending a message comprising at least one of the UE capability information and the assistance information to a first network based on the at least one received event. Further, the method includes receiving an RRC reconfiguration message comprising at least one of an addition of UE configuration, release of the UE configuration and modification of the UE configuration from the first network based on the message.
