摘要: In an embodiment, a method for performing a measurement operation for Multicast and Broadcast Services (MBS) in 5G is disclosed. The method includes receiving at a User Equipment (UE), a message from a network for configuring the UE comprising at least one of one or more configurations, and one or more reference signals of one or more of a Bandwidth Part (BWP) or a Common Frequency Resource (CFR) associated with one of a unicast and the MBS. The method includes performing a measurement operation for the MBS reception for the one or more configurations based on the one or more reference signals associated with one or more of the unicast and the MBS. The method further includes generating a measurement report associated with the MBS reception based on a measurement of the MBS.

摘要: A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The UE includes a transceiver, memory storing one or more computer programs, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory, wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the UE to receive, from a base station, a system information block (SIB) including a first indication on whether a transmission of a second indication is allowed, identify that a UE capability is restricted for a multi-universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM), and transmit, to the base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message including the second indication indicating a UE temporary capability restriction due to the MUSIM operation.

Further, the method includes sending, by the gNodeB, an indication to the UE indicating the at least one MBS going to get suspended or deactivated prior to suspension or deactivation of the at least one MBS at the UE.

Further, the methods include detecting, by the DSDS device, an activity upcoming over the second SIM. Further, the methods include transmitting, by the DSDS device, a connection suspend indication to the network entity to suspend the data communication over the first SIM, wherein the connection suspend indication is transmitted on one of a Layer-1 control signaling channel, a Layer-2 control signaling channel, and a Layer-3 control signaling channel.
