Abstract: A see-through type display apparatus includes an image forming unit; a relay optical system configured to transmit an image provided from the image forming unit and to form a primary imaging image; and an optical combiner configured to reimage the primary imaging image transmitted from the relay optical system and to form a multi-depth plane. The relay optical system includes a lens; a polarizer arranged at an angle with respect to an optical axis and configured to reflect light of light of a first polarization and transmit light of second polarization therethrough; a condensing mirror member configured to reflect and condense light incident from the polarizer; and a polarization converter configured to convert a polarization of light transmitted between the polarizer and the condensing mirror member.

Abstract: A backlight unit and a holographic display apparatus including the same are provided. The backlight unit includes a light guide plate and a uniformity changing element. The uniformity changing element has a light-incident surface and a light-exiting surface facing the light-incident surface, and the uniformity changing element receives the light output from the light guide plate through the light-incident surface, changes uniformity of the received light from the light guide plate and outputs the received light with the change in the uniformity of the received light through the light-exiting surface.

Abstract: An optical window system includes: a path conversion member configured to change a path of light of a first image from a first direction to a second direction, the path conversion member being translucent to light incident in the second direction; and a focusing member configured to focus the light of the first image in the second direction. Moreover, the path conversion member is configured to occupy a space according to an angle, defined by a first length of the path conversion member in the first direction and a second length of the path conversion member in the second direction, satisfying a predetermined condition, thereby reducing a system thickness and providing a wide field of view.
