Provided are an electronic apparatus and an operating method of the same. The electronic apparatus includes: a communicator; a memory storing one or more instructions; and a processor configured to control the electronic apparatus by executing the one or more instructions to: collect peripheral device information based on a message received from a peripheral device, by using a first device discovery protocol and a second device discovery protocol; transmit the peripheral device information to a server through the communicator; and receive a home network device list of the electronic apparatus from the server through the communicator, the home network device list being generated by the server based on the peripheral device information.

Various embodiments of the disclosure relate to an electronic device for determining a matching model used to authenticate biometric information, and an operating method thereof. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the disclosure may include a biometric sensor, and a processor operatively coupled with the biometric sensor. The processor may be configured to identify a security level of a service requested to be executed, determine a confidence level of user's biometric data received via the biometric sensor, determine a matching model to be used to authenticate the received user's biometric data based on the identified security level and the determined confidence level, and authenticate the received user's biometric data based on the determined matching model. Various other embodiments are also possible.

An input method of an electronic device using an input device including a drawing unit is provided. The input method includes acquiring drawing unit related information, confirming an attribute of the drawing unit based on the acquired drawing unit-related information, receiving a drawing input by an input device, to which the drawing unit is attached, using a touch panel of the electronic device, and outputting a drawing expression through the display of the electronic device in response to an attribute of the drawing unit and a drawing pattern of the drawing input.
Abstract:
A control for a power saving of an electronic device is disclosed. The device includes a camera configured to be activated and then obtain an image when no input event is received within a given time after activation of a selected function. The device further includes a control unit configured to, if the obtained image contains a specific pattern, determine whether the specific pattern corresponds to a human face pattern, and to, if the specific pattern does not correspond to the human face pattern, perform a power saving control of the electronic device.
