摘要： The present disclosure relates to a fiber optic network including a fiber distribution hub having a cabinet, an optical splitter within the cabinet, a hub termination region within the cabinet, a signal input location and an output cable connection location. The fiber optic network also includes a fiber distribution terminal including a terminal housing, a terminal termination region and a terminal spool. The fiber optic network further includes a wall box having a wall box enclosure, a fiber optic adapter positioned at the wall box enclosure and a wall box spool. A first fiber optic cable is wrapped around the terminal spool. The first fiber optic cable interconnects the fiber distribution terminal to the output cable connection location of the fiber distribution hub. The terminal spool rotates about a first axis to allow the first fiber optic cable to be dispensed from the terminal spool. A second fiber optic cable is wrapped around the wall box spool. The second fiber optic cable is optically connected to the fiber distribution terminal. The wall box spool rotates about a second axis to allow the second fiber optic cable to be dispensed from the wall box spool.

摘要： A fiber distribution hub (FDH) includes an internal spool for wrapping a fiber optic cable. The internal spool is adapted to rotate within the FDH and thereby pay out or retrieve the fiber optic cable from/to the FDH. A first end of the fiber optic cable can be extended through an entrance location of the FDH and can be further extended beyond the FDH to a connection point. The second end of the fiber optic cable can be connected to a fiber optic adapter within the FDH and can be disconnected from the fiber optic adapter when the internal spool is rotated. The fiber optic cable can be a fiber optic feeder cable.

摘要： A method for installing a fiber optic cable assembly includes providing a fiber optic cable assembly. The fiber optic cable assembly includes a first jacket, a strength layer, and a second jacket. The strength layer surrounds the first jacket and includes a first set of strength members helically wrapped around the first jacket and a second set of strength members reverse helically wrapped around the first jacket. The first and second sets of strength members are unbraided. The method further includes routing the fiber optic cable assembly from a fiber optic enclosure to an end location. A portion of the second jacket at an end of the fiber optic cable assembly is split. The portion of the second jacket is removed.

摘要： A fiber optic cable includes an inner jacket and an outer jacket. The inner jacket surrounds an optical fiber and a strength layer positioned between the optical fiber and the inner jacket. The inner jacket includes a liquid crystal polymer within a base polymeric material. The outer jacket defines an elongate transverse cross-sectional profile. A strength member is positioned outside the inner jacket. The outer jacket is removable from the inner jacket such that the fiber optic cable forms a first cable portion that extends from a first end of the fiber optic cable to an intermediate location of the fiber optic cable and a second cable portion that extends from the intermediate location to a second end of the fiber optic cable. The first cable portion is more rugged than the second cable portion.
