    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a fiber management device or system for facilitating routing and storing optical fibers. The fiber management device includes a flexible, film-like substrate that has optical fiber management, storing functionality, and splicing functionality all on one film-like substrate. The flexible, film-like substrate can provide a routing path for routing optical fibers onto a flexible planar substrate that can be temporarily supported by, mounted on or attached to the flexible planar substrate. The flexible, film-like substrate can accommodate fibers that are in a multi-fiber (e.g., ribbon) configuration or a single fiber configuration.

    摘要: A rollable ribbon separator tool for separating fibers in a rollable ribbon, the rollable ribbon separator including a chassis having a length and a guide surface along the chassis length for receiving a first portion of a rollable ribbon in a flattened position, the guide surface for positioning the first portion of the rollable ribbon having a first node with selected fibers to be separated, the selected fibers being positioned flat on the guide surface. The rollable ribbon separator includes a blade securable to the chassis, the blade having a cutting edge positioned toward the guide surface at an acute angle to the guide surface. The angle of the blade cutting edge with respect to the guide surface allows the cutting edge to urge the first portion of the flattened ribbon fibers against the guide surface when the fibers are drawn through the chassis along the guide surface.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a positioning means for a fibre optic connector assembly, a fibre optic connector assembly and a fibre termination unit comprising the positioning means through which manufacturing tolerances can be absorbed to provide an improved optical interconnection with a high signal transmission rate. The positioning means comprises a receiving means for receiving one of a jack assembly or plug assembly and a stationary support supporting said receiving means, wherein the receiving means is displaceable to a certain extent relative to the stationary support at least along one direction other than a connection direction for optically interconnecting the optical fibers allowing an alignment of the receivable jack or plug assembly along the direction transversal to the connection direction. A spring loaded element resiliently urges said receiving means away from the support in one embodiment.

    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus for cleaning an optical fiber connector, which includes a case, a tape collecting gear, a tape releasing gear, an operating portion, and a cleaning socket disposed on the case. The tape collecting gear and the tape releasing gear are rotatably accommodated in the case in sequence. The cleaning socket is located at a position between the tape collecting gear and the tape releasing gear. The operating portion includes a push rod, and an elastomer, a stop block, a sliding plate, and a toggling member that are installed in the case. In the case, one end of the sliding plate is connected to the push rod in the case and the other end shields the cleaning socket, the elastomer abuts between the stop block and the push rod.
