摘要: A charge transport layer for an imaging member comprising a dual charge transport layer and wherein the charge transport layers comprise a photogenerating layer; (1) a first charge transport layer comprised of a charge transport component and a resin binder; and thereover and in contact with the first layer; (2) a second top charge transport layer comprised of a charge transport component, a resin binder and a hindered phenol dopant. The charge transport layer exhibits, excellent electrical performance, outstanding print quality and reduces the diffusion of the anti-oxidant into the charge generator layer.

摘要: A process including providing at least a flexible substrate layer having a first major surface on one side and a second major surface on a second side opposite the first major surface, the first major surface being an exposed surface, applying a coating of an anticurl backing layer dispersion on the first major surface of the substrate layer, the dispersion comprising a volatile carrier liquid, a film forming polymer dissolved in the volatile carrier liquid, solid organic particles dispersed in the volatile carrier liquid, and an organic additive dissolved in the volatile carrier liquid, the organic additive represented by the structural formula: wherein m is a number from 1 to 99, n is a number from 1 to 99, p is an integer between 1 and 10, f is an integer between 1 and 8, and I is an integer between 10 and 500, and drying the coating to remove the volatile carrier and form a dried anticurl backing layer. An electrostatographic imaging member containing this anticurl backing layer is also described.

摘要: An electrophotographic imaging member comprising a support substrate having a two layered electrically conductive ground plane layer comprising a layer comprising zirconium over a layer comprising titanium, a hole blocking layer, an adhesive layer comprising a polymer blend comprising a carbazole polymer and a film forming thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of copolyester, polyarylate and polyurethane in contiguous contact with the hole blocking layer, a charge generation layer comprising perylene or a phthalocyanine pigment particles dispersed in a polycarbonate film forming binder in contiguous contact with the adhesive layer, and a hole transport layer, the hole transport layer being substantially non-absorbing in the spectral region at which the charge generation layer generates and injects photogenerated holes but being capable of supporting the injection of photogenerated holes from the charge generation layer and transporting the holes through the charge transport layer.

摘要: An imaging member is disclosed which includes a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer. The charge transport layer includes a first charge transport layer adjacent the charge generating layer and at least a second charge transport layer adjacent the first charge transport layer. Each charge transport layer includes a film forming polymer binder and a charge transport material dispersed therein. The first charge transport material has a composition which is the same or different than the second charge transport material and of a lower concentration. It may be selected from an aryl amine, aryl diamine, or combinations thereof. The combination has the effect of reducing charge deficient spots.

摘要: A photoconductor containing an optional supporting substrate, a photogenerating layer, and at least one charge transport layer, and wherein the photogenerating layer contains a titanyl phthalocyanine prepared, for example, by dissolving a Type I titanyl phthalocyanine in a solution comprising a trihaloacetic acid and an alkylene halide; adding the mixture comprising the dissolved Type I titanyl phthalocyanine to a solution comprising an alcohol and an alkylene halide thereby precipitating a Type Y titanyl phthalocyanine; and treating the Type Y titanyl phthalocyanine with a monohalobenzene.
