    摘要： A recording liquid mainly comprises a recording agent as an image-forming component and a liquid medium containing at least water and a glycol for dissolving or dispersing the recording agent, characterized in that the recording agent contains at least one of dyes represented by the following general formula (A): ##STR1## wherein M represents one element selected from H, Na, Li and K, and 55 mole % or more of total M given in the general formula (A) is Na, Li or K. The recording liquid may additionally contain a water-soluble organic solvent.
