Abstract: Computing devices, systems, and methods for automatically prompting a foreign currency transaction by detecting a trip end condition associated with a registered user with respect to travel to a foreign location associated with a foreign currency. The methods and system may further determine that the registered user has a remaining foreign currency balance, and, as a result, may identify and send to the registered user's mobile device at least one option for using the remaining foreign currency balance. The at least one option may be a merchant offer from a merchant located in the area of the mobile device or may include an option to exchange the foreign currency for another currency. The trip end condition may be detected by determining that the registered user and/or user's mobile device is at an international departure location. The currency exchange may be with another registered user.

Abstract: A processor-implemented method is disclosed. The method includes: configuring, by a processor, a value transfer card to be associated with a default currency account and one or more foreign currency accounts; receiving, by the processor, input including a selection of at least one of the one or more foreign currency accounts and a card control setting to be applied for the value transfer card in connection with the selected at least one foreign currency account; detecting, by the processor, a first transaction initiated using the value transfer card, wherein the detecting includes receiving a request to process the first transaction in a first currency associated with the selected at least one foreign currency account; determining, by the processor in real-time, that the first transaction results in violation of the card control setting for the value transfer card; and in response to determining that the first transaction results in violation of the card control setting for the value transfer card: querying, by the processor in real-time, an exchange rates database to obtain a current exchange rate between the first currency associated with the selected at least one foreign currency account and a second currency associated with a second one of the currency accounts; and processing the first transaction using the second currency account and the current exchange rate.

Abstract: The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems, including a method for placing a card into an alert state. An alert detection indication is received during an attempted data exchange using a permanent account number (PAN) associated with a card. The alert detection indication is received by an electronic controller embedded in the card and is received through an interface. The alert detection indication indicates that the PAN has an alert state identified for the PAN by an entity that issued the card. An operational mode of the card is modified into the alert state by the electronic controller and is based on receipt of the alert detection indication. An electronic display indicating that the card is in the alert state is displayed by the electronic controller.

Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented systems, apparatuses, and processes that manage cryptographically secure exchanges of data using a permissioned distributed ledger. For example, an apparatus obtains parameter values characterizing an exchange of data and transmits the parameter values to a first computing system, which executed instructions included within a distributed ledger. The executed additional instructions cause the first computing system to access rules data recorded onto the distributed ledger and establish a consistency between the parameter values and at least a portion of the accessed rules data. The apparatus receives, from the first computing system, confirmation data indicative of the established consistency, and based on the confirmation data, transmit a request to execute the data exchange in accordance with at least the portion of the parameter values to a second computing system.
