    摘要: An ink jet printing apparatus prevents deterioration of the printed image resulting from degradation of refilling characteristics caused by a rise of the printing head temperature as well as decrease in the printing speed. More particularly, the temperature of the ink ejecting head is measured so that the settings of a pulse width and a drive voltage of a drive pulse to be applied to an electro-thermal converting element are altered based on the measured temperature of the ink ejecting head in such a manner that the pulse width is shortened and the drive voltage is increased as the temperature of the ink ejecting head rises.

    摘要: In an inkjet recording head having a plurality of ink ejecting ports and a plurality of energy generating elements respectively positioned in confrontation with the ink ejecting ports for generating energy utilized to eject ink from the ink ejecting ports, the plurality of ink ejecting ports and the plurality of energy generating elements being divided into a plurality of blocks, and the ejecting ports and the energy generating elements being timeshapred driven in a sequence of the blocks in a common driving period, the plurality of energy generating elements are disposed in an approximate sraight line, and the respective ink ejecting ports are off-set with respect to the energy generating elements in a projecting relationship in correspondence to the sequence of the timeshapred drive. With this construction, the inkjet recording head can maximize a refill cycle while keeping the linearity of an image even if timeshared drive is executed, whereby the throughput of a printer using the inkjet recording head can be improved.

    摘要: Energy applied to a heater for ejecting an ink is set to more than bubble generation threshold energy Eth and less than predetermined energy Eo, or to more than the predetermined energy Eo. Thereby, when an image to be printed is one of low ejection duty, an ejection where a bubble communicates with the atmosphere before the ink droplet separates from an ejection port (BTHJ ejection) is performed. On the other hand, when the image is one of high ejection duty, an ejection not communicating with the atmosphere as above (BUBBLE-JET ejection) is performed. As a result, an increase of ink mist due to satellites can be suppressed as a whole even if satellites are increased because of BTHJ ejection. When the ejection duty is high, generation of satellites themselves is reduced, thereby suppressing increase of ink mist.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet recording apparatus which can keep an adequate absorptivity of an ink absorbing member for a long period of time, even when such inks which react with each other are sucked through the same cap in a sucking recovery operation, by preventing a mixed ink collected by the ink absorbing member from thickening or being solidified. The ink jet recording apparatus has: a recovery unit 8 and 62 for draining ink from a black-ink discharge portion 13 for discharging black ink and a color-ink discharge portion 14 for discharging color ink which reacts with the black ink; an ink absorbing member 31 for collecting the ink which is drained by the recovery unit and separating the ink into a solid part 41 and a liquid part 42; and an ink introduction unit 7 for introducing the ink which is drained by the recovery unit, into the ink absorbing member.
