摘要: To provide an adjusting method for a printing apparatus, and the printing apparatus, capable of appropriately adjusting drive voltages of heads even when printing conditions are changed, this invention can appropriately acquire adjusted voltages of the heads even when printing conditions are changed. That is, according to this invention, a construction is configured to change an adjustable range of head drive voltages with a printing mode. This invention acquires the adjustable range corresponding to the printing mode set by referring to a table Ti. Consequently, the adjusted voltages of the heads can be determined within the adjustable range suited to each printing mode.

摘要: An ink discharge apparatus includes a discharge head and a controller, the discharge head having a plurality of nozzle rows arranged in a first direction, each of the plurality of nozzle rows including a plurality of nozzles arranged to align in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The controller is configured to receive a print job and carry out a mode determining process to determine whether a print mode is a low gap print mode or a high gap print mode based on the print job, and a number of discharge reducing process to reduce the total number of discharging ink per unit time from the plurality of nozzles as compared with the case of the low gap print mode, if the print mode is determined as the high gap print mode.

摘要: One of printing modes including a first mode in which printing is performed by an even number of scans and a second mode in which printing is performed by an odd number of scans, the odd number being three or more, is executed. In the first mode, printing is performed using a first mask pattern in which the nozzle array is divided into a plurality of blocks each including a first number of continuous nozzles and an ink ejection area or non-ejection area is set for each of the blocks. In the second mode, printing is performed using a second mask pattern in which the nozzle array is divided into a plurality of blocks each including a second number of continuous nozzles, the second number being less than the first number, and an ink ejection area or non-ejection area is set for each of the blocks.

摘要: A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejection head, a circulation control section that controls a circulation operation of circulating the liquid in the first individual flow path, and a minute vibration control section that supplies a drive signal having a first waveform to the first piezoelectric element so as to control a minute vibration operation of causing the liquid in the first nozzle to vibrate to such a degree that the liquid is not ejected from the first nozzle. The circulation control section starts the circulation operation at a first time, and the minute vibration control section starts the minute vibration operation at a second time later than the first time.

摘要: A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a nozzle for ejecting a liquid, first to fourth pressure chambers communicating with the nozzle, first to fourth driving elements provided corresponding to each of the first to fourth pressure chambers, and a control section that controls the first to fourth driving elements. The control section is capable of executing a first ejection mode in which all of the first to fourth driving elements are driven to eject a liquid from the nozzle, and a second ejection mode in which only some driving elements among the first to fourth driving elements are driven to eject a liquid from the nozzle.

摘要: A liquid discharging apparatus has a switch control circuit that controls whether to cause each of a first switch circuit, a second switch circuit, a third switch circuit, and a fourth switch circuit to output a driving signal. The switch control circuit has a fifth switch circuit, a sixth switch circuit, and a seventh switch circuit. The fifth switch circuit switches between output of the first data to the second switch circuit and output of the second data to the second switch circuit. The sixth switch circuit switches between output of the first data to the third switch circuit and output of the third data to the third switch circuit. The seventh switch circuit switches between output of the first data to the fourth switch circuit and output of the fourth data to the fourth switch circuit.

摘要: A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a drive circuit in which a first voltage signal is output from an output terminal, a piezoelectric element that includes a first electrode to which the first voltage signal is supplied and a second electrode to which a second voltage signal is supplied and is displaced by a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode, a cavity which is filled with a liquid, a vibration plate that is provided between the cavity and the piezoelectric element, and a switch element that is electrically connected to the output terminal and the first electrode. The liquid ejecting apparatus has a mode in which the switch element is controlled to be turned off, and a voltage value of the first voltage signal is controlled to approximate a voltage value of the second voltage signal.
