摘要： Image data supplied to an image forming apparatus are converted into image data linearly correlated with the image density, and the image ratio is calculated by dividing the number of pixels in which the toner is deposited during image formation based on the thus-converted image, with a value obtained by multiplying the total pixel number corresponding to the size of the print medium with the number of gradation levels per pixel. Then the toner amount consumed in the image formation based on the entered image data is determined by multiplying the image ratio, the size of the print medium to be used and the toner amount consumed per unit area in a solid image formation.

摘要： A disk drive unit 1 includes fixed and movable frames, 4 and 5. The movable frame has a turntable 20 for rotatably supporting the disk 15, an optical head 18 for optically reading information recorded in one surface of the disk supported on the turntable, and a guide 17 for moving the optical head in a radial direction of the supported disk. A support mechanism 12 for movably supporting the movable frame on the fixed frame has a damper 30 made of elastic material and is designed to have a specific damping feature with respect to first to third directions.

摘要： A color toner for developing an electrostatic image has color toner particles containing a binder resin and a colorant.The color toner particles have been obtained by mixing a mixture containing at least a polymerizable monomer, the colorant and a polymerization initiator to prepare a polymerizable monomer composition, dispersing the polymerizable monomer composition in an aqueous medium to carry out granulation, and polymerizing polymerizable monomers in the aqueous medium.The colorant comprises fine organic pigment particles or fine organic dye particles having an acetic acid adsorption heat in n-heptane of from 0.1 mJ/m.sup.2 to 80 mJ/m.sup.2.

C., and 0.01-5.0% by weight of a charge controlling agent;the resin component of the toner particle has a weight average molecular weight of 5,000-45,000;and the toner particle has water absorption of 300-5,000 ppm.

摘要： A toner for developing an electrostatic image has toner particles.The toner particles are prepared by suspension polymerization and contain at least two components comprised of a high softening point resin-A and a low softening point material-B.The toner particles each have a structure separated into a phase-A mainly composed of the resin-A and a phase-B mainly composed of the material-B. The phase-B is absent in the vicinity of the toner particle surface, ranging from its surface to a depth 0.15 time a toner particle diameter.The toner particles contain an organic solvent, a polymerizable monomer or a mixture thereof in a quantity of not more than 1,000 ppm.

摘要： A color toner for developing electrostatic images is formed of color toner particles each including a binder resin, a polyalkylene, and a colorant. The color toner particles are formed by suspension polymerization. The polyalkylene is characterized by having a crystallinity of 10-50% and a melting enthalpy (as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter) of at most 35 cal/g. The color toner is characterized by an improved fixability without causing offset especially at a relatively low temperature and suitable for providing a transparency film for an overhead projection.
