Abstract: A device can determine a set of parameters associated with generating a route plan for routing an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in a three-dimensional (3D) environment. The set of parameters can include a parameter that identifies a radio frequency (RF) condition to be satisfied by the route plan. The device can determine a route, associated with the 3D environment, based on the parameter that identifies the RF condition and using an RF model. The RF model can be associated with predicting RF conditions in the 3D environment. The device can generate the route plan including information associated with the route. The device can provide information associated with the route plan.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the dynamic selection of configurable resources in an environment that includes a hierarchical or otherwise differentiated arrangement of configurable resources. The environment may include, or may be implemented by, a Distributed Resource Network (“DRN”), which may include hardware or virtual resources that may be configured, including the instantiation of containers, virtual machines, Virtualized Network Functions (“VNFs”), or the like. The DRN may be hierarchical in that some resources of the DRN may provide services to, and/or may otherwise be accessible to, a greater quantity of elements of the DRN or some other network.

Abstract: A system includes a base station. The base station includes: a laser assembly that transmits an optical control beam to a phased array antenna external to and remote from the base station; and a radio frequency (RF) transceiver that transmits a radio signal to the phased array antenna. The phased array antenna deflects the radio signal arriving at the phased array antenna in a particular direction indicated by the optical control beam. The particular direction of the deflected radio signal is toward a particular user device.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the modeling of channel condition information, associated with a base station of a radio access network (“RAN”) associated with a wireless network, over time. The model may be used to determine, estimate, or predict channel information associated with the base station at a given time, such as a time corresponding to a request for content (e.g., streaming content). The channel condition information corresponding to this time, as determined based on the model, may be used to select a particular version of the content to provide in response to the request. By virtue of receiving this information, the content provider may forgo performing a speed test, a ramp up transmission scheme, and/or other technique that may otherwise used to select the version of the content to provide in response to the request.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a mechanism for identifying unique sources of interference in a wireless telecommunication network. A unique noise signature, associated with a particular source of radio frequency (“RF”) interference, may be identified by detecting physical resource blocks (“PRBs”), in a sector, that exhibit excessive interference, as compared to surrounding PRBs. The unique noise signature may be detected across multiple sectors, and a location of the interference source may be determined. Corrective action may be taken once an interference source is detected, such as by ceasing to utilize, or by reducing the utilization of, affected PRBs.

Abstract: A method is provided for using virtual subscriber identity modules (vSIMs) for client devices. A network device receives a selection of network services to be associated with a virtual subscriber identity module (vSIM); initiates creation of a blockchain including a vSIM certificate for the network services; associates the vSIM certificate with a user account; receives, from a client device associated with the user account, an access request for the vSIM certificate; activates, in response to the access request, the client device for access to the network services; and provides instructions to update the blockchain in response to the activating. Thus, the vSIM can be retrieved and used by any one of different devices associated with the user account or loaned to other users.

Abstract: A device can receive, from an aerial vehicle, information related to the aerial vehicle. The information can be used by the device to manage use of an aerial RF signal by multiple aerial vehicles. The device can determine other information related to the aerial vehicle. The device can determine a base station, of a set of base stations, or a channel, of a set of channels associated with the base station, the aerial vehicle is to use to communicate. Each of the set of channels can have a different beam width. Different channels, of the set of channels, can be used by the aerial vehicle at different altitudes. The device can provide a set of instructions to the aerial vehicle to cause the aerial vehicle to use the base station or the channel to communicate. The device can perform an action other than providing the set of instructions.

Abstract: A method is provided for using virtual subscriber identity modules (vSIMs) for client devices. A network device creates, in a memory, a user account for storing one or more vSIMs. The network device receives, from a user of the user account, a selection of network services to be associated with a vSIM. The network device initiates creation of a blockchain including a vSIM certificate for the network services, wherein the vSIM certificate includes an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI). The network device associates the vSIM certificate with the user account. The vSIM can be retrieved and used by any one of different devices associated with the user account or loaned to other users.

Abstract: An approach for implementing a mechanism to detect obstacles in propagation path of a wireless communication signal and dynamically control one or more functions in a communication system of the signal. The approach includes receiving a sensed signal at a sensing antenna, wherein the sensing antenna is associated with a transmitting antenna. The approach also includes determining that the sensed signal is a disrupted signal element of a transmitted signal originating from the transmitting antenna. Further, the approach includes initiating a cessation of the transmitted signal, an attenuation of the transmitted signal, a presentation of an alert notification, or combination thereof based on the disrupted signal element signal.
