摘要: A center mechanism of a tire vulcanizer is provided with a screwing mechanism provided with a screw shaft and a screw nut screwed onto the screw shaft, a motor for rotating the screw shaft so as to raise and lower an upper ring body, an inverter for controlling the motor, and a mechanical brake for retaining a predetermined position of the upper ring body so that a bladder retains a shaping state. Within a time range from start of a closing action of the upper die to contact between the upper die and the upper ring body, an operation of the mechanical brake is released and position control of the upper ring body by the inverter is started, and at least after the release of the operation of the mechanical brake, a position of the upper ring body is controlled by the inverter. By such a configuration, even when there is an erroneous operation of the brake or incorrect setting, it is possible to prevent damage and breakage of constituent parts and have a simple structure.

摘要: In a post-cure inflator of the present invention, a rim of a pair of disk shape rims for sandwiching bead portions of a tire has one rim surface and the other rim surface in which a plurality of step portions corresponding to the bead portions of different bead diameters are formed so as to reduce thickness from a center to an outer periphery. A pair of the rims is supported switchably between arrangement in which the one rim surfaces face each other and arrangement in which the other rim surfaces face each other. By such a configuration, it is possible to favorably sandwich the tire even when the bead diameter to be treated is added.

摘要: When a green tire is molded on a bladder in molding step and then carried into the mold of a vulcanizer in vulcanization step to vulcanization-mold the green tire, the upper bead and lower bead of the green tire are connected and fixed through a center post as they are retained by the bladder kept in the airtight state by an upper ring and a lower ring until the molded green tire has been carried into the mold of the vulcanizer, and a pressure gas is sealed into the bladder located in the internal space of the green tire to lay it in the expanded state, whereby the green tire can be carried between the steps and carried into the mold in the state maintaining a fixed shape. Accordingly, the deformation of the green tire can be prevented, and the slippage of supporting center of the green tire when set in the vulcanizer can be sufficiently reduced.

By the provision of such a mechanism as described, press molding relative to a green tire 4 can be completed in a sufficiently short period of time.

摘要: The present invention relates to a tire vulcanizing press which presses to fasten an upper and a lower molds used for vulcanizing a tire by hydraulic cylinders and raises and lowers the upper mold in an up-and-down direction to remove the tire being finished a vulcanizing processing.In the tire vulcanizing press in accordance with the present invention, since the plurality of tie rods hung from the upper mold installation member are respectively connected through the lock device to the cylinder rod of the fastening cylinder and the lower mold installation member to which the fastening cylinder is fixed is pressed to rise toward the upper mold installation member, only the tie rods are positioned around the upper and the lower molds. Therefore, a maintenance of the upper and the lower molds becomes easy, and it also becomes possible to reduce the apparatus size of the tire vulcanizing press as a whole.

摘要: A steam done type vertical tire press includes an upper dome for holding an upper mold through an upper mold mounting member and a lower dome for holding a lower mold through a lower mold mounting member. The upper dome and the lower dome are abutted at respective connection edges. A dome ring is engagable with the connection edges of the upper and lower domes. A central mechanism is vertically movably located at a central position of the lower mold mounting member. A mold clamping cylinder has a pressure rod connected to the lower mold mounting member. A cylinder support extends downwardly from the lower dome through a press base for supporting the mold clamping cylinder. A mold height adjusting device is provided outside a dome space defined by the upper and lower domes for adjusting a height between the upper and lower molds. A heat/pressure medium seal is interposed at least between an outer circumferential surface of the loweer mold mounting member and an inner circumferential surface of the lower dome and between the connection edges of the upper and lower domes.

摘要: A conveying method for conveying green tires from storing devices, disposed near building machines, to curing machines and attaching them to the curing machines is disclosed wherein a green tire delivery demand signal is emitted, from a specific curing machine among a plurality of curing machines, to a control system which stores the corresponding relationships between the respective storing devices and the respective curing machines and the quantities and kinds of green tires stored in the storing devices. The control system which receives this demand signal sends a signal, indicating the curing machine which has emitted the demand signal and the corresponding specific storing device, to an automatic truck supporting and carrying thereon a mechanism which is capable of withdrawing a green tire from the storing device, having it suspended thereon, and loading it onto the curing machine. The automatic truck is capable of running on rails laid and supported at a suitable height above the storing devices and curing machines, and on receipt of this signal, the truck moves to the corresponding storing device, carries the green tire suspended thereon, runs to the specific curing machine, which has emitted the demand signal, while suspending the green tire thereon, and loads the green tire onto the specific curing machine.

摘要: A charging device for a vulcanizing press has a cylinder disposed concentrically with a vulcanizing mold, a movable piston vertically movable through the cylinder, a piston rod secured to the piston, and a gas-tight cylindrical bladder of a flexible material held between the upper end of the piston rod and the top of the cylinder. The charging further includes hollow cylindrical body disposed above and vertically movable with respect to the mold and having an inner diameter greater than the outer diameter of the bladder, the hollow cylindrical body being provided with a fluid inlet port for maintaining the pressure within the space defined between the inner surface of the hollow cylindrical body and the outer surface of the bladder to be higher than the pressure within the bladder, and also provided on the lower end of the outer periphery thereof with a tire retaining device capable of expansion and contraction in the radial direction for holding the upper bead of a tire to be loaded in the mold for vulcanization.

摘要: A method for curing tires especially adapted for curing very large-sized or so-called giant tires which have not been generally in such demand as to warrant mass production characterized by holding the curing mold in a stably closed locked condition during the curing process under purely mechanical force in contrast to hydraulic force such as heretofore employed, comprising the steps of placing a mold unit composed of upper and lower mold halves and containing a semi-shaped "green" tire upon a stand of a mechanical press having a plunger mechanism supporting an upper housing member moved by means of a crank gear, driving the crank gear to a first position located ahead of its lower dead center a predetermined amount whereby the plunger mechanism and housing section are smoothly and continuously moved through an arcuate path from a raised position to a lowered position at which the plunger mechanism and housing member are adjacent the upper mold half, adjusting the position of the plunger mechanism relative to the crank gear so that the plunger closely contacts the upper mold half, driving the crank gear to its lower dead center so as to lock the apparatus with an overcenter type locking action, and providing the mold unit with a steam atmosphere for the purpose of heating the mold and curing the tire.
