摘要: A drive circuit including a drive transistor for feeding to a load a drive current corresponding to an input signal. The drive circuit has a correction circuit that supplies a correction signal corresponding to an impedance of the load to a gate of the drive transistor to correct the drive current to be fed to the load by the drive transistor, and in which the load is a light-emitting element. One terminal of the light-emitting element is connected to a gate of a transistor for correction, and when a predetermined potential Ps is set to a value calculated by deducting a threshold voltage Vth of the transistor for correction from a terminal potential Pi of the light-emitting element with respect to a drive current, the drive circuit sets a source potential of the transistor for correction to the predetermined potential Ps to thereby generate a voltage corresponding to an impedance of the light-emitting element as a source-to-drain current of the transistor for correction.

摘要: In a pixel circuit that accumulates a display signal Vsig in a capacitor and supplies a display current to a light-emitting element using a TFT serving as a drive transistor in order to correct fall of a luminance due to aged deterioration of the light-emitting element, the pixel circuit supplies the display current to a gate of a TFT and sets a source of the TFT to a value obtained by deducting a threshold value of the TFT from an anode potential of the light-emitting element with respect to the display current using a variable bias voltage to thereby extract an amount of an increase of a voltage due to the aged deterioration of the light-emitting element as a source-to-drain current of the TFT. The pixel circuit feeds the source-to-drain current from the capacitor as a correction signal and adjusts a gate potential of the TFT serving as the drive transistor to thereby correct the display current and correct a luminance of the light-emitting element.

摘要: Multi-pass recording is performed to record an input image by plural scans of a recording head over a recording medium in a main scan direction with at least one interposed sub-scan. A thinned image is provided in each scan. Recording data for the input image is produced by creating mask patterns having a resolution lower than the recording resolution in the main scan direction and/or the interposed sub-scan direction on the basis of a random number array. The created mask patterns or enlarged forms of the created mask patterns are combined with input image data to produce the thinned images. A logical AND of the mask patterns and the input image data may be computed for use as recording data.

摘要: Even if colors are printed in the same order for each band, time difference unevenness is suppressed which results from a difference in duration from the end of the first scan until the beginning of the second scan. An ink jet printing apparatus completely prints a scan area with a width corresponding to a predetermined length of a nozzle line. The ink jet printing apparatus includes conveying means for moving the print medium, generation means for generating print data in such a manner that in the two scans for completely printing the scan area with the width corresponding to the predetermined length, a print duty for the first scan is higher than a print duty for the second scan, and print control means for carrying out the first scan in an identical direction for all the scan areas completely printed by the two scans.
