Abstract:
Systems and methods to provide automatic tree restriction are provided. In example embodiments, sizing parameters for a display location are determined. Data to be graphically displayed within the sizing parameters is accessed. A determination is then performed to determine if restriction of nodes associated with the data is needed based on the sizing parameters. If needed, restriction is performed based on the determination. The restriction is performed based on predetermined criteria established prior to the determining of the sizing parameters and the accessing of the data. A graphical display of the data within the sizing parameters may then be rendered.
Abstract:
A method and system are presented of automatically suggesting rules for data stored in a table, with the table comprising a plurality of columns. The table is profiled to identify a content type for each of one or more of the plurality of columns. A rule knowledge base is accessed to locate rules specified for identified content types. Then, one or more of the located rules specified for identified content types are presented as suggestions. Acceptance of one or more of the suggested rules is received from a user, and the received validations are stored in the rule knowledge base. The accepted rules are applied to data for quality detection and monitoring. Embodiments are also described where columns are suggested based on a given rule.
Abstract:
A method and system for visualization interaction design for cross-platform utilisation is described. The system includes a unified user interface interaction module and a visualization module. The visualization module generates an interactive graph for data visualization. The unified user interface interaction module includes a unified user interface module configured to receive an operation on the interactive graph. The unified user interface module includes a pointer user interface module and a touchscreen user interlace module. The visualization module updates the interactive chart from the operation on the interactive graph with the corresponding user interlace module.
Abstract:
A system and method for managing business intelligence data is described. In some example embodiments, the system extracts data and metadata from a business intelligence file, generates a data bundle of the data and metadata, generates an application bundle based on the date bundle, and generates an interactive document using the data bundle and application bundle.
Abstract:
Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to receive an original query plan, to transform the original query plan into an equivalent executable compact query plan, and to store the compact query plan on a machine readable device. Further activities may include computing maximal source sub-queries associated with the compact query plan, and computing semi-join reductions of the maximal source sub-queries to provide an executable derivative query plan, which may also be stored on a machine readable device. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are described.
Abstract:
Techniques for information retrieval include receiving a plurality of data records, each data record including data fields associated with a business enterprise, the data fields including a name of the business enterprise; updating a plurality of database records associated with the received plurality of data records stored in a database, each database record including attributes including the name of the business enterprise and an alias associated with the name of the business enterprise; receiving a query for a particular database record, the query including at least one of the name of the business enterprise or the alias associated with the name of the business enterprise; and preparing for display, in response to the query, one or more of the database records based on at least one of the name of the business enterprise or the alias associated with the name of the business enterprise.
Abstract:
Example systems and methods of generating and distributing user-specified application information are presented. In one example, an informational code to be generated during execution of a software application is accessed. A character string specified by a first user of the software application that is descriptive of the informational code is received. The informational code and the character string are stored in a data storage device, which stores a plurality of information codes in association with corresponding character strings for the software application. The informational code is received in response to the first information code being generated during execution of the software for a second user. The character string is retrieved from the data storage device after the execution of the application based on the informational code, and transmitted for display to the second user.
Abstract:
A computer-readable medium includes a report generator configured to process a current version of a data set to generate a report including a data item. The computer-readable medium also includes a report data change tracker configured to identify a change in the data item with respect to a previous version of the data set. The computer-readable medium further includes a report data change presenter configured to superimpose an indication of the change onto the report.
Abstract:
Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to receive, sequentially, individual lines of information included in a file stored in an electronic storage medium; to locate one or more tables in a spreadsheet when at least two of the lines in a sequence are consecutive lines that begin with a non-empty cell and have a matching length; to determine a vertical orientation or a horizontal orientation of the tables based on an arrangement of the information within the lines and across the lines; and to create metadata from the information, based on the arrangement. The metadata may comprise object label names, object qualifications, and/or object data types. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.
